My brother died in the same exact car(year,make,and model) and it also had some head work done. It was canary yellow. My mom would get so mad at me because I would walk home to go see Mr. Helms.(junkyard owner) so I could see the car. 31 years ago in July. To this day she doesn't understand how much Mr. Helms helped a 8yo kid understand the lost.

Brothers memories are some of the best. I remember all of my brothers cool cars they had in 60's, 70's. 4 older brothers, one of my favorite one's is my Brother Sal & Pete in late 60's, they were in their 20's I was probably 9 or 10, they had stopped by and daring to race on road in front of our house, Sal had a 55 chevy Canary yellow, and Pete a Black 57 chevy, 4 sp 283 cu. My mom didn't want them to, but they did for fun, the 57' won. Great memories. 👍🇺🇸

I actually owned a 1967 Fairlane GT, 4 speed floor shift, convertible in 1973. Couldn't keep it though, as I was two thousand miles from home and had no way to get it there. Mid-dark green paint, matching interior with a white top. Beautiful. Alas. :-(

35 years ago I was restoring a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. I went to a garage sale and bought an original Philco AM/FM 8-Track stereo for a buck! It completed the restoration of the Mach 1.

Yeah but now that we have those electronic control units people have made electronic controlled versions of those 60s engines perform orders of magnitude better. Google it. Our cars are rightly better just as yours was rightly better than a 1904 Napier.
@jeffcampbell2710
@jeffcampbell2710 2 жыл бұрын
Cars are actually much better today. Today, getting 100,000 miles on a set of plugs is not unheard-of. No points, condenser. Oil last much longer minus the carbon. Vehicles are far more safer in a collision. But, there's no heart, no style or class like the 60's. Anything 72 back, I'll take. Heck, I'll take an 87 Cutlass, Buick, 89 GN. The 90's had The Cyclone, Typhoon, Impala, Pontiacs.

They didn't look under it to see if anything was out of sorts I.E. collision. Rust issues and paint, the motor pull and paint. They'll have 10 to 12k in it anyway. 7k is all it was about worth.
