ALOHA YT OHANA! Sorry this one took a while to come out as I had recorded this back to back with the other two songs I last posted. I was so tired that night or morning rather....you can see it in my eyes here hehe and my work schedule caught up with me, I couldn't get to this last video until now. Mahalo much for your patience! This song was much longer than I expected, but it was so good. Shout out to Don McLean! @homefree did it again! Always amazes me with their talents!

You know what I love about you brother I see all these KZbinrs is when they become too big for their britches they forget to heart people but stay humble it's a beautiful thing and we found appreciate when we get a heart it means that what we said meant something to you please don't ever lose that

@@stephanieritter4771 It's more likely they don't heart anymore because it would take up way too much of their time to read and heart all the comments when they are big, especially if they upload a few videos a week. Did you ever try to read all the comments under a video with many views and comments? It takes a lot of time and at some point that time has to be spent in a more productive and balanced way.

Adam recorded his track in one take. Someone said he was so lightheaded when he finished he almost passed out. I can believe it because this is a really long song and he went straight from going hard on the vocal drums into harmonizing. I don't know when the man breaths.

I don’t know how Home Free does it, but this one really topped it for me! This one is phenomenally great! They up their game with each video/song! Don sounded amazing, too! I was 14 when this song came out and it brings back so many good memories of singing this with my neighborhood friends. Everyone did an amazing job with their part in this song! Adam definitely stood out, as did Chance. He not only had his solo, but sang harmony, and filled in the bass during Tim’s lead. Adam’s beatboxing was so good! I thought about the length of time he had to beatbox the first time, and also wondered how he lasted that long! Another point is how many legends they have they recorded with over the years? Wow! Anyway, I’ve rambled way too long! 😊 I enjoyed your reaction, Bruddah Home Fry! You had a smile on your face throughout the song. That’s how we know you enjoyed it! Thank you for reacting to this one, and don’t worry about when you released it. It was worth the wait! Take care, and keep on smiling!

Aloha Sam !!! Yes Adam almost passed out from that beatboxing...not sure this will be doing it in concert ! At least not this the LONG version. I was in 6th grade at Everglades Elementary here in Miami, FL when this came out in Oct 1971, and all the kids learned the words by heart. On field trips we would singt this instead of 99 bottles of beer LOLOLOL, seriously !!! this song became the song of my generation ! Also there was an AM version (shorter) and this the FM version...back then AM ruled the airwaves and was where the money was, so you wanted shorter songs to make more revenue, but FM didn't have as many advertizers so they were happy to run this longer version ! How about those harmonies at the end ????

Aloha Sam, bruddah you were jamming with this song. Home Free is a force to be recognized on epic collaborations. One of my favorite facts about this song is this: Don McLean has been asked for all the years why he wrote the song? His answer is two parts. 1.) Obviously it was a tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper, but also it was his first hit. When asked about the 2nd part he answered I wanted to right a song so I never have t to work a day in my life. This song alone brings in $400k a year. STILL. Just in royalties!! ALOHA BRUDDAH SAM!!! I'm glad you did this song. You mentioned how Adam just kicked butt on the beat, and I wholeheartedly agree. I know his drum solos in concerts ran about as long, but still. What I like most about this song is 1. everyone gets to their chance to shine 2. speaking of chances, Chance finally gets to show off his higher range. We already know about Tim's. 3. the 6 part harmony on the last chorus...CHICKEN SKIN material!!! I always make it a point to watch for your reactions anytime a new song comes out. Sam, I think this is your best one yet. I love the other artists, but this one "sings" to me. This is from my generation 1971. Home Free did an excellent job, and Don McLean still has it. Loved it, will be watching it many times.

An amazing cover of an iconic song. I might have mentioned this before, but Angelina Jordan released an official video of her original song "Million Miles" and Dimash released an official video for his original "Golden" that is more like a short movie, Dimash can act also. And you still haven't seen Acapop Kids or The A Capella Academy, both founded in part by Scott Hoying of Pentatonix. Both amazing A Capella groups, better than many adult groups.
