Respect and love these breeds forever the ol Bull and terrier aka American pitbull terrier. Every one of those dogs have the correct pedigree to them look how they are faced at each other trying to scratch, I don't condone dog fighting because I grew up around it, and there are other ways to tell and look to see if a good bull dog has that special ingredient that you can't teach a dog.. GAMENESS. Hog hunting, flocking, farm patrol trust me coyotes won't come around if a good ol bull dog is there. "I'm not super big , but my heart is huge, i come in all colors , its very rare but I can even be blue, most blue ones today aren't me that's true, you will know me and love me when you see me ,I bet my bone, toys, and food because I can do anything your dog can do, but just know I can whoop em too!!. The American pitbull terrier anthem.

Those are American pit bull terriers not Labradors. Those dogs are focused on each other not the humans, big difference. A crowd of Malteses would be reacting the same way.

​@@D0ggma they can still have obedience training... And I had well behaved apbts... Any dog that walked past they wouldn't go after. Especially not like that. Teach them to focus on owner not other dogs. It worked for all my apbts. So yea these dogs are not trained.

I was thinking the same thing... All are overweight (the people) I doubt they had energy to actually do obedience training with their dogs... I don't mean to judge but that's the only reason they have them dogs... To stand there and hope to win a trophy

i dont get why the dog aggression is celebrated. the way they lunge at each other just tells me they aren't properly socialized and they look like they spend most of their days chained up in a backyard. these are the pits you hear about in news that get loose and maul a person or their dog. so, just out of genuine unbridled curiosity, what's the point of these shows? is it for the pedigree and bloodlines? physique of the dog?

Gamebred bulldogs by definition are dog aggressive and will fight. They're NOT supposed to be human aggressive at all. The dogs you hear about biting people are highly unlikely to be real American Pit Bull Terriers.

The vast majority of pit looking dogs that cause harm to humans are muts or bullies. Real apbt owners know how to deal with a special breed like this. Just because they are chained up in the backyard is not cruel. As long as the owner maintains the yard keeps a good house for the dog and themselves provide their shots. All dogs where bred for a purpose. Look at the cane Corso I believe this breed has surpassed biting and killing humans statistly. Not the breeds fault you have owners who get these dogs for status and without accepting what they where bred for.

I have to agree. I don’t know why anyone would purposely breed for dog aggression. How is that a desirable trait? I understand why it used to be, seeing how pit bulls were bred for fighting, but dog fighting is an illegal and cruel sport. There is no good reason to breed a dog for dog aggression, even if it is considered a part of the standard. At the very least the dog should act civilized in public. Lunging and barking at other dogs just seems like the dogs aren’t properly trained, at least to me.
