I’m late to this, don’t know who tried to compare Jehst and Skinny, they’re two completely different artist, both talented in different ways. You’re right, skinny tells a story of where we are from. However, Jehst is probably my top UK rapper, he’s a poetic genius. Not comparing the two at all but if you want a song by Jehst to listen to that encapsulates where he’s from and his perspective, check out England! The dark, grim, crackly audio paired with his abrasive lyrics just automatically takes you to a council estate with no way out and the depressive feel that comes with that. It may not be hopeful or uplifting, but it’s real. The feeling you get when you listen is a snapshot of a place and time, for me anyway. Definitely worth a listen.

I like Jehst, but if I had to suggest a project/song similar to Council Estate of Mind I would say Ramson Badbonez - 'A Year In The Life Of Oscar The Slouch' ..I love February - Whateva Da Weatha Feat. Mystro & Gadget.

England by Jehst is more of a social commentary that is heavy and on point. He is different though. He goes deeper soul reflection in most of his stuff. It IS heavy and if you think he was early naughties so compared to the depth of rap at that time for the most part he was miles above....especially in the UK. But yeah skinny, farma, phi life cypher, foreign beggars, klashnekoff, task force as a group now more recently the four owls is newer but made up from the old guard in the UK. Check think twice, assassination and a whole load of four owls stuff.think you will like it.💥💥
