She is everything people should want in a singer, she always kills the high notes, she riffs with no flaws, her runs are amazing, lows, falsetto, headvoice everything she's so good at. Unfortunately she was overlooked and undervalued in little mix because she got the black girl treatment with mostly a white fandom who favored the non black girls. On the surface it sounds like it is about a guy, the hidden meaning in the song is her talking about how she felt when she was in the group, being always the least popular member and overlooked in favour of the other 3. She wants real love from us, the fans not just surface love. At the end of the video she dives into the water to cleanse herself of all the negative feelings and in her next video she will re emerge ready to show her worth as a solo artist.

Exactly! I thought she was hitting to that at the choreo segment. 3 people, then 4, just like LM's history in backwards. You can see, she's in the center of the trio, but she's on the sidelines of the quartet. So it seems like Jesy leaving the group was a good thing for her.
