Technically it started in Miami . Drill is an evolution of grime . Grime is an evolution of garage . Garage is an evolution of Miami house with Jamaican dance hall influence . Drill has its routs in Miami house via 2 UK styles . But those styles wouldn't exist without Miami house or Jamaican dance hall. Drum and bass definitely influenced it aswell .but Dnb came from jungle that again came from Jamaican bashment . Do Benny Banks latest track it's lit as fuck.

First glance I thought your channel was krs-one. I’m from the 80s old school and I’m in my 50s been in hip hop a very long time and it’s great to see masterpiece material from British talent but also see how rap has progressed over the last 40 years. Stormzy’s talent is on point and he’s got his own swagger just like Central cee his swagger and style appeals globally. I love the fact that Stormzy crosses over to other genre’s and reaps in the rewards while other rappers dog which is stupid since rap had become today’s popular music.

You really need to react to Stormzy - blinded by your grace pt 2 (2017) the video is shot in his hood and gets everyone in the community involved. It's a really uplifting Feel good Song that touches you. It's a reminder how the diversity and different cultures of the neighborhood coming together can be done with positive influencers. You will see Stormzy in another light. Stormzy may only been on the scene for around 7 years but he already headlined Glastonbury and become only the 2nd rapper after Eminem to headline the biggest music festival in the world and more importantly for Black Culture the first black rapper to headline Glastonbury. Stormzy has raised the bar over all the old o.gs and In Europe he most certainly is the GOAT. I like Vossi Bop however I agree it's mainstream because he is so big that the record companies need him to release stuff for the radio

The biggest things that you missed in this video is the level of Flex. 1) The opening of the video, it is the tower bridge in London the middle of London one of the most busy and exclusive places in the world and Stormzy just casually closes it down for a video, thats big ben in the background and parliament, imagine if Drake shot a video at the Whitehouse 2) Idris Elba sat next to him when he drops his Idris line (fleeeeeeex) 3) The guy who did the original Vossi bop at the end of the video with a bunch of the kids who create UK dances, shining light on every one of them. 4) Notice how Stormzy doesn't ever really rock chains, or mad rings? Because he is wearing high fashion designer clothes, I believe that jacket that he wears in the video is a really expensive (like 100k but not sure) 5) Vossi is also a slang term for Courvoisier, the also paid for product polacement in the video. One of the biggest flexes that you could have is that brands will pay money to be in your video, except for Stormzy it isn't just Drinks and headphones, its smartphones, London City, etc. But loving these reactions.

He's from London but he's Ghanaian, Vossi is short for Courvoisier, like how you say henney for Hennessy, it's one of the more expensive drink that you buy in a British Club, so to "vossi bop" is to be stood there with your glass of Courvoisier and bop rather than dance around because we don't want to spill it plus it's a type of Cognac and gets you quite drunk quite quickly so you're a bit hazy while dancing, his friend at the end (in the grey tracksuit) is the one who came up with the dance

UK Drill rappers 410 and 67 will say they were inspired by Chicago Drill. It evolved sonically in the UK (London) and blew up round the world. Stormzy came up through Grime anyway....although if his new album turns out to be a bunch of drill I'll laugh my sock off😆
