In Ireland, especially in Munster the crowd are quiet for both teams kickers. I have been told it's more unnerving to have a crowd go silent than to hear a crowd at full volume. Imagine having thousands absolutely silent watching you and being able to hear a dog barking outside the stadium, while trying to take a kick.

5:50 One thing I wanted to say about the tackle and then it gave a yellow card to Codie Taylor is that very recently the rules have become tighter and tighter when it comes to contact sports such as rugby that don’t require helmets or any sort of that hardcore protective gear. They only wear gum guards, have very small padding in the shoulders of their jerseys and then wear Kinesiology tape over certain muscles to protect them. The players who will scrum will wear scrummaging caps though too. Codie Taylor tackled Irish captain Johnny Sexton above the shoulders which is a massive no in rugby. Tackling off feet, near the neck or in any sort of way that could seriously injure the other player always requires a card, yellow or red, depending on the situation. It may not have looked that intense, like he could just “brush it off”, but a high tackle like that is considered extremely dangerous, and rightfully so. It was probably painful at that too. Also, keep in mind women play rugby too, internationally. Yes, the sport centres around masculinity but try watching a women’s match. It proves you don’t have to be a man to play a sport like this.

Teams always have a first-choice kicker, and usually a couple more who can kick if needed in case of injury, because the kicker isn't a specialist, he's one of the regular players. Johnny Sexton usually takes Ireland's kicks, but he had to go off injured in the second half, Joey Carbery came off the bench to replace him and he took the kicks from then on. Jordie Barrett took all of New Zealand's kicks.

Ireland 🇮🇪 are renowned for giving respect to the home team and visiting teams so all kickers get silence from all Irish fans its just an Irish thing you were a bit confused for some of the penalties in rugby you are not allowed a forward pass the all black try was disallowed for a forward pass when the players are all on the ground you must be on your feet to contest for the ball we call it hands ✋ in the ruck so that's why Ireland got that last penalty was given to Ireland the game lasts 80 minutes so once the clock goes red on 80 minutes if you need to score again to win the game you can keep the ball in play to try to win we are quite good at that but as in this game we were well ahead at the end so getting possion of the ball is very important once the ball goes dead the game is over really enjoyed your comments well done young man

0:51 Ireland, traditionally no Bro, recently maybe but too early to tell. Ireland's 1st game against AB's was in 1905 and they finally beat them in a huge upset 40-29 in 2016 and have since played 4 times with Ireland winning twice including this game you're watching. Last game they played before this in Rugby World Cup 2019, All Black's thrashed them 46-14. New Zealand's biggest Rugby rivals has traditionally been Springboks of South Africa and the team that's played them more than any other team in history, the Wallabies. Just letting you know, Rugby World Cup total Champion wins are New Zealand 3 x, South Africa 3 x (they won 2019 against England who beat the All Blacks in the semi finals), Australia 2 x and England 1 x. Next World Cup is in 2023 in France and imo, All Blacks have been a bit off since Ian Foster took over as coach but we'll see.
@jonnyslater61193 жыл бұрын
Yeah true about Ian foster, he was better as an assistant, But you should look at the press conference of the Ireland coach and team captain, shows how big this win is to them and how big the ABs are in this game, doesn’t take away the fact Ireland wanted it more, well deserve win, but the ABs will bounce back👍
@LC__153 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyslater6119 I hope so, have to say even with Hansen’s last few years, we haven’t been the same then making Foster the head coach despite having much more credentialed winning coaches was an interesting choice as for me, he seems to stick to a game plan and not readjust accordingly as the game plays out but time will tell, hopefully we’ll peak in time for 2023 and be better prepared to take on the world’s best in France.

Set plays usually come from behind the 'ruck', 'scrum' and off of the 'line out' when you see the backs lining up ready to go.. it used to be that you were allowed to take your time passing the ball out from behind a 'ruck' but now there's a 5 second time limit to speed up the game. sometimes if the '9' or 'half back' is taking too long, you'll hear the ref shouting: "USE IT." That's the first warning. The ref will shout "USE IT" 2 more times before he penalizes the team for slowing down the game.
@cuzzywalay11343 жыл бұрын
They most definitely have plays that they run through out most of the game. Certain running and passing patterns would be implemented against different teams as well as kicking tactics and also defense strategies. There is a lot of freestyle plays as well just as you would get in like the NBA

Damn you say so much weird things. 1. The players always know what they are doing and are organising plays all the time even in open play 2. It’s a contact sport a lot of those tackles are normal 3. There are more ways to win penalties than blatant fouls, most of them you were getting confused about is penalties at the ruck, if the other team don’t have people to clear out the ruck and you come in on your feet and the other team don’t release you get a penalty. Maybe just try and make your videos about learning the game of rugby as you watch more so than trying to commentate on what happened. If you watch the whole match Ireland completely dominated, New Zealand did incredibly to keep it that tight. Also big up the All Blacks and their fans for being amazing in defeat just as they are when they win!
