'Posh' Originates from the early days of ocean travel from England to India. The rich people used to pre-claim the best cabins on the shaded side of the ship going to and from India. Their luggage used to be marked P.O.S.H. (ports side out, starboard side home) so the term 'posh' became synonymous with wealthy self-entitled people and does to this day.

My wife had friends like this. They would have some major disaster like, their favourite pen running out of ink. So I would purposely make up stories to shock them like......."I had diarrhea at work today and I had shit running down my leg" I hated them. It was like trying to have a conversation with a different species. My only consolation is that if we were stranded in the wild I would be the one to survive.

Like it or not the middle class in general consider the working class inferior and one only has to look and listen to those demonstrating the desire to ignore a basically working class vote to leave the E.U. to see their middle class status and the exact same applies to the people gluing themselves to the middle of our roads in protest about global warming without the slightest DETAILS of how poor people will pay for expensive electric cars and new expensive boilers . There is and always has been a class war in Britain .Because i am a pragmatist i can still laugh at such sketches as this. I believe the Labour Party never represented the working class and today's Labour politicians have just proved my point with their new policies. Strangely there is a large body of ex lawyers within our M.P.s which as everyone knows is a very working class line of work.....i don't think !
