I feel like this was in response to the LIB US where there was a SA and Netflix hid the while thing and swept it under the rug. When viewers found out they were pissed and said Netflix didn't take it seriously and neglected the situation. So this time they decided to share it for the Brazil version and just edited it to not say gRape. This way it didn't seem like they were hiding things

Good point! LIB US was a little different because everything happened while recording and this occurred after taping was done, but I agree that it’s probably why they handled this situation differently. I still think they handled it poorly, and should have been way more involved to provide support.

It is victim-blaming to ask why she didn't report to the police. Studies show that victim of sexualized violence are usually further traumatized by the police, especially when they're Black and this with a very small chance of the perpetrator even found guilty. Why not ask why Levandro didn't deny any of the accusations? We nee to abolish rape culture

Being brave enough to confront her abuser on the show is one thing. But when going to the police she has to hope that the police with actually prosecute the crime but thats not always the case she may have been re traumatized and vitim blamed by the police all fpr nothing to happen to her abuser. So thats aa different ball game its more than having courage.

@kalikayy Brazilian here! She made a video, explaining the whole case. She went to the police and her case is catogorized as Maria da Penha, a Brazilian law that protects women against their (male) abuser. She also said that has his audios and text messages, talking about the SA

So, what actually happened between Leandro and Ingrid? It was only hinted at but never described or mentioned explicitly. I’m assuming Leandro sexually assaulted Ingrid in some way and had the gall to show his face at the reunion. I fail to understand how people, especially the contestants/cast, fail to see how incredibly toxic and unhealthy “experiments” like Love is Blind and Married at First Sight really are.

Your assumption is correct. She made a video on her instagram explaining things after the reunion. She also mentions that she had resolved to “just moving on to forget it” but the thought of having events like this where he would be there moved her to respond now. Also, you are 100% correct about how toxic these shows are just for entertainment.
