I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through KZbin videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Peep Show season one aired 2003. Majority of UK households got a mobile phone in around 2001. UK stats for mobile phone households : 1996-1997 16% 1997-1998 20% 1998-1999 26% 1999-2000 44% 2000-2001 47% 2001-2002 64% 2002-2003 70%. 2013 got over 90%. Still 7% of households today don't seem to have one.

The UK still has a paper called the weekend sport which is topless ladies on every page but the last 2 which are reserved for real sport. I know only because my workplace sells them and there's literally one 60+ year old man that buy one of the 2 we get each week. It's not a daily paper, pretty much porn on newspaperaterial and that's how it's legal still. We even sell it on the bottom shelf

In the UK most people had cell-phones (we call them mobiles) by around 1999 when the Nokia 3310 (and the internet version 3330) came out. That year, I was in a Virgin Mobile chrome caravan mobile sales office purchasing one for myself. I've still got it and it still works. Almost everyone I know had one and they were great days because every street merchant sold a huge variety of press-on covers so no two people in the same locality had the same cover. You were never going to get them mixed up. Those were indeed the days.
