I don't know about the actress playing the American Lady, but Harry Enfield is in fact an English comedian and put on the accent for this part. He's a fantastic character comedian.

I was living in London in 2007. There was a flood of Conservative American tourists thanks to the UK joining the invasion of Iraq. And I was taking the Thames ferry one day. There were some American tourists seriously very similar to this, and they pestered some young woman office worker, asking her if she had a guy and told her how they knew a guy back home who Would be perfect for her, etc.

These two characters are from series 1 of Harry and Paul, it was first broadcast on BBC One on 13 April 2007. Prior to broadcast it was trailed as The Harry Enfield Show. Ronald and Pam are eccentric, but always friendly American tourists from Badiddlyboing, Odawidaho. They invite everyone they meet to visit, and always have their photo albums on them to show. As Pam flicks through their albums, Ronald always comments 'ain't she pretty' for the ladies and 'what a guy' for the men in the photos, even with an album of photos from Egypt where all the women have their face covered. Played by Enfield and Alice Lowe.

You are right of course. I understand that some of Harry and Paul's work wasn't ever made available on video / DVD, and only available in parts on YT, as it got caught up with the beginning of the BBC's change in attitude towards comedy, that it can only be socially risk free, which is why its so dull now. Comedy without that cutting edge is just bland, but many young people today are bland and frightened of their own shadow, Im afraid........

All of the main male charachters in harry and paul are played by harry enfield himself or paul whitehouse. And there are a few female comediennes he works with for all the female parts. Anyway, when their lothario neighbor came to the house 30 minutes later, he waited 5 more until they were upstairs and making noises.
