@@malytheson Hjalmar is an old name used since the time we spoke norse. Thats just what the name was meant to project back then. That doesn't mean it isn't valid as a name today. Halfdan is just as old a name, and that's still used too. Almost all names has some sort of symbolism that may have become less important over time, but is none the less still attached to it. I know a Svend, a Frida and a Signe. Those are names originating from Norse too, with their own original symbolism, but still used today alongside names originating from Christian tradition, like Jacob, or Christian.

Actually quite a lot of the danes do wear the helmets - even if we’re not going to England. It’s mandatory for riding motorcycles and mopeds, and is by your own choice on bicycle, horse, skateboard, rollerskates etc etc. But a good idea. 😉

In the US you won't get it, unless you realise that most Danes ride bikes all the time - from 3-year-olds going to kindergarten (accompanied by parents on bikes, of course) to way beyond 70 for shopping, meeting friends, anything.

Its a PSA - As you know we bike - like a lot. It is not a law to wear helmets (as that would decrease riders) so PSA's are the way to keep us thinking about wearing that helmet =)

We do generally wear helmets here in Denmark, at least in populated areas, cause you'll get a huge fine if you don't...

you will only get a fine for not wearing a helmet if you drive a moped/motorcycle/electric-scooter(not the handicap thing) there are no laws regarding helmet wearing on bicycles. Which is why this advertisement was made in the first place, to encourage the use of helmets.
