AB retired from International cricket a few years ago. Not only was he definitely in the mix for a top batter (holding a number of batting records), but he was also an outstanding fielder and wicket keeper. He is also an all around sportsman: Tennis player, Rugby player, Swimmer and Golfer. ( he still holds a few records in some of those sports). I played golf with him once, and he is the greatest gentleman and well rounded person. Also, you need to listen to the music he makes with original songs.

I still remember when AB De Villiers was about to play his 100th international match which shows his physical stability and immense consistency but he rather chose to stay by his pregnant home though it wasn't necessary. Such a humble , down to earth and ethical personality and a selfless,magical athlete . Huge respect to the legend Mr.360 best at his business ❤️

The shot where he turns the bat to the other side and hits the ball like on 3:39 is known as a reverse sweep. It is a very difficult shot to play and very few batsmen are able to execute that shot so well so consistently. He made it look very easy. You also look really silly when you try to play that shot and lose your wicket. Glenn Maxwell is another batsmen who is very good at playing that shot. It is very difficult for the opposition team to know where to bowl and how to set the field against ABD when he has so many different shots in his arsenal. It is no wonder he is nicknamed 'Mr.360°'.

One can say AB de Villiers is the best batter of the modern era, along with Virat Kohli. He is among the top 5 ODI batters of all time and one of the best middle order batters. He is probably the greatest striker of the ball. Also, he is a brilliant fielder and a great wicket-keeper. Him and Virat Kohli played together for RCB in IPL for nearly 10 years and they have great bond and mutual respect towards each other. He is the most loved foreign cricketer in India. Virat Kohli and abd are like Ronaldo and Messi. Anyone can become Ronaldo if you work very hard but to become Messi beyond hard work there has to be something special by birth. You can't train to be like them. Another reason people love him so much is he's a multi talented athlete. He was a national level rugby and tennis player at junior level for south Africa. One of the fastest sprinter in cricket, ran 100 metres in 10 seconds. Above all he's a very humble player never sledge or disrespect any players.

@@aaravsrivastava2341 Not really. AB got injured in 2016 and didn't play. He came back in 2017 and regained No 1 ranking in 2017 for a while. Again in 2018, he got injured and then he retired. AB's peak and Kohli's peak came in two different timelines.
