Good reaction. 'Starlight' is considered by most (but this has never been officially acknowledged) as a tribute to Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (RIP) a keen amateur astronomer who died early in 2018 after falling from an observation deck where he had been stargazing. It was also released on the same day that Yui announced she would be leaving the band, so quite possibly it is also a tribute to her. 'Starlight' is also the first of the three songs that Koba described as "The Trilogy of Lights" which describe the process of mourning a loss. 'Starlight' is about the initial pain of when you lose somebody. 'Shine' is about acceptance and coming to terms with the loss and finally 'Arkadia' is about moving on, looking to the future. Reactions to 'Shine' and 'Arkadia' would be most welcome.

Considering how long BABYMETAL songs are in development, I don't think it's likely this one was written about Yui, and also released the same day as the announcement she would be leaving the group. Of course we're always going to feel that connection since it was on the same day.
