Ok so let me clarify this; bollywood, tollywood etc are film industries in the country based on languages. Bollywood is hindi language, others being other indian languages. So every industry, lets take bollywood as an example will have ALL kinds of music genre from indian classical, to folk to fusion everything. Bollywood music is not a genre. Songs that are not made for hindi films, but are hindi language are just called hindi songs. I would suggest reacting to more hindi/bollywood songs. Check out the songs "Dhokha", "Pal full song" and "Dil song"

Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood etc aren't musical genres, they are the language that the movie/song is made in! India has many different languages for differrnt rrgions. Bollywood is Hindi, Tollywood is Telugu, Kollywood is Tamil. I listen to all 3. Each of them has different musical genres in it. My pick for you is Bullet song (telugu) from the movie Warrior (Tollywood industry)

Well bollywood, tollywood etc are film industries. In most films in india, singing and dancing are important parts of story telling aspect. The independent music scene is good but lacks the budget of these high production movie music. And the music in movies is about the story. If it fits within the story, if its sounds good, its good to go. Doesnt matter the genre, doesnt matter if its classical, indian or foreign. So the music and dancing you see in movie music/music videos is a fusion between traditional, classical, regional folk, both indian and foreign. Or just one particular genre. Like i said, depends on story and setting of plot. Sometimes they will even sample some russian folk tune. I would say... if nothing else, indian artists have truly mastered the art of fusion. Kpop also use indian beats and arabic tunes. (In my humble and honest opinion) Sometimes when i see hollywood making movies about other cultures and doing some fusion, its a cringe fest. 😋 This song was more of a promotional song of a sequel of a movie.
