They never copied the Beatles? I was a big fan of Oasis in the 90s. Massive fan. It was only until 2000s when I got into the Beatles that I realized Oasis copied EVERYTHING the Beatles did at some point. Not just music, but hairstyles. Liam Gallagher wanted to be John Lennon so much, same hairdoes and beards. Even when they split, Noel Gallagher and High Flying Birds, Paul Mccartney & Wings. LMFAO Liam Gallgher seem to buy every type of glasses John Lennon wore, he even bites his teeth like Lennon when he sings, named his son Lennon.

@@Guttlegob You say they copied their hairstyles but you forget that The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces etc all had hairstyles like that too. The Beatles don’t own that hairstyle, it’s actually a mod haircut. The only hairstyle that you could say Liam copied from Lennon is when he grew his hair out in 2000. Even then that’s silly to argue because again most rock bands grow out their hair.

You need to look more into the Beatles. They were famously into drugs for a period. Mostly pot and LSD. As for Oasis, I’m a huge fan of “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, and I think it’s the most Beatles-like of all their songs. The messages in their songs, especially early in their career, spoke to a whole generation of working class people, which grew into them becoming global superstars. Unless you’re English, you won’t be able to understand how incredible it is to see a group of working class lads, who always get the reputation of getting nowhere in life, grow into something so important, that even non-English speaking countries could sing their songs word for word. Great video! You kept on going on about The Beatles, but their other big inspiration/influence was a band called The Stone Roses. They were also from Manchester, and were massive in the UK around the late 80s/early 90s. Their self titled debut album in 1989, is often considered one of the greatest British albums of all time. It has so many hits: I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs The Drums, Waterfall, Made Of Stone, I Am The Resurrection. However their most famous song was a single just after the debut, called Fools Gold. You should really react to this (the full length version!). It was a club classic in its time, and it still sounds fresh today. Would be great if you could react to this

Just a little piece of info, that might answer your question on the Beatles. Their song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is rumoured to be about LSD. Lennon denied it, but if you look at the lyrics, see the video, and notice 'LSD' is actually in the song titles initials, then you'd be forgiven for thinking John wasn't being 100% honest. It was the drug of choice in they days, the 'flower power' years.

Oasis were the best band of the 90s. Noel's genius + Liam's singing + Bonehead's Rhythm Guitar = something brilliant. Also, it's actually quite a lazy opinion that Oasis copied the Beatles; they were always far more similar stylistically to The Stone Roses than they ever were the Beatles and its really only a handful of songs (Don't Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova) that actually sound like something the Beatles could have put on an album. They just have a phenomenal catalogue of good songs and virtually every British artist today basically cites Oasis as an inspiration. Dave Grohl once said that Oasis are the best band he's ever seen and that says it all. I love the Beatles and other bands (Pink Floyd, LZ, Stone Roses etc) but none have ever touched my heart like Oasis.

In fact there is a HUGE mount of reference to the Beatles in their music, even they copy some chords, riffs, etc. Just two examples: the final chord of "She is electric" (Oasis) is exactly the same of the final one of "With a little help from my friends" (the Beatles); and the solo guitar of "Roll it over" (Oasis) is almost identical to the solo of "Come Together" (the Beatles).

Can't believe "half the world away" was not on the list or "rocking chair" even as honourable mention, mind you could probably put nearly every song they did cus they were all great but the video would be about 3 hours long 😂

Rockin chair has probably Liams best vocals along with live forever and lets all make believe

This band needs to be enjoyed for their live music. With all the Beatles inspiration, they’re a different era, it’s not like they were competing so I like to think it’s just their way to pay respect to their idols

Don`t take music videos too literally. Yes, The Beatles took drugs, No, Oasis weren`t "junkies". Wow! hairstyles have changed in the last 25 years....."Neil" did okay for himself in the end and "Watchwall/Waterwell" continues to be popular in London to this day. "The hygeine wasn`t up to par"- wtf are you on about?. Unintentionally funny video.

They're a huge band with a massive following over here, they were the soundtrack to my teenage years - but they're not on the Beatles level. Most bands get compared to the best of the best when they're hot.

Oasis compared themselves to the Beetles. They were pretty good, but pretty full of themselves too.

I agree with anyone Oasis were a great group, there musical style was heavily influenced on the Beetles sounds hence no track sounding the same or often even similar
