Jay z was once upon a time a little bit that way inclined with the tongue twist with original flavor ...but he lost all that. Ocean brought the technical essence of rhyming back. Grandmaster mele, g rap, godfather don etc when they started they intended flows to be melodic. Ocean brought some of that essence back and advanced it.

@@samueltutuwan3107 bro Jay Z did not pioneer any part of Hip-Hop, no part what so ever in fact, as Hip-Hop started in 1975 before it was even called rap. They were known as MC's. T la Rock, Melle Mel, Caz, Cold Crush, Kool Moe Dee etc. They are the pioneers. Jay Z is from the Yo mtv rap era with his click 'Original Flavor' But in terms of Hip-Hop being perceived as 'Rap' on a more commercialised scale, then before his era you had more commercialised acts like Run Dmc, LL, Fat Boys . They weren't even the true pionners of Rap, as Rap was an emulation of Hip-Hop. Just like the Sugar Hill gang tried to emulate Grandmaster flash and the Furious five and even take lyrics off Caz. Although at that point of 1982 and the disco 3 (fat boys) yes Buffy was the original Human beat box amongst Doug E fresh, Greg nice etc. But Doug Slick Rick and Prince Markie D brought it to the commercial stage of top of the pops before Jay Z. Ocean used to be a beat boxer before he started to rhyme, if you look up his background so therefore he's more in tune to certain core roots of Hip-Hop although he is the now.
