I have to say I got a bit choked up, because this was a powerful video. This rugby reaction is to TRIBUTE HAKAZ FOR JONAH LOMU.
We're done with the initial tour of the All Blacks, but we will be back. In the meantime I will be switching to the next nation to review in prep for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. I'm hoping you will join me for those videos.
Jonah Lomu highlights video reaction: • American REACTS to JON...

3:20 the bald man not in blue is my dad, Grant Kereama. He was Jonah's best friend and donated a kidney to save his life in 2004. Sadly that is what failed again and the reason he passed. Rip Jonah, this is tough to watch again.

I'm laying in a hammock, here in my backyard in New Plymouth, New Zealand... And I am reflecting on how lucky I am to have grown up with Jonah Lomu in the world. He is the greatest of all time. Still, to this day, he is spoken about as if he was a God, he is still mentioned and talked about by current players and commentators. He had his own PlayStation game, Jonah Lomu Rugby. He was and will always be the greatest player this game has ever seen.

Not all. I know for a fact there's at least two former *New Zealand Kiwi* Rugby League players in there somewhere. One of which is *Robbie Hunter Paul* although I can never spot him, so he must be at the back. He used to live next door to one of my cousins, and shop at my local supermarket. I'm not sure where he lives now but he still has his own show on my local radio station, so he must still live in *Bradford,* or at least be nearby. Other players mixed in with the *All Blacks* (Union) include *Auckland Blues* (Union), *New Zealand Warriors* (League), and the *Australia Wallabies* (League).

The Haka it a traditional dance used as a challenge to the enemy, it basically says “come at me with everything you have and I will face you with everything I have” The second Haka is the most common one. This also ties in with the colour black. Black is the national colour of New Zealand. It represents respect and mourning the defeat/death of their opponents in battle

There are many different variations to a haka, it is not just a war dance, we have ceremonial haka for nearly everything. Opening a house? Haka! Opening the heavens? Haka! Going to war! Haka! These hakas preformed have been specifically created for rugby.. may the legend rest easy!

My interest in rugby only grew a lot in the last couple of weeks, which explains why I started following this channel. I've never been to NZ, neither do I know much about Jonah Lomu (except from your videos). But what I have done in the past is watched haka's in different contexts (Rugby games, marriages, funerals,...), just to get to know the meaning of this habit. Every time I see one, I get goosebumps...But with this one, I was even crying the whole video. For those who knew him better, I wish you all the strength, 'cause you'll never forget this moment... A lot of respect from Belgium. P.S.: Hopefully, one day, our nations can compete against each other in this beautiful sport!

I'm French and Jona Lomu was a magnificient player and a really good man. Maori were invaded but their culture survived, they did a lot for New Zealand, Commonwealth, France, they did a lot for rugby. And Jona Lomu came as an avatar of all of this. I think the take away for you in terms of rugby culture is respect. We respect our teammates, we respect out opposition, we respect the officials (speaking of which, a best of Nigel Owens compilation would be a laugh), you spend 80 minutes knocking 10 shades of shit out of each other but you ALWAYS have a pint afterwards. Respect.

Hey mate. love the Video. Brings back so many memories. Jonah is actually a relative/long time family friend of mine and I was at his house with his wife and kids immediately after he passed. I sat in his gaming room with him as he lay in wake. Havent really thought about it since and now its coming back. Anyways I was wondering if you are getting into the Super Rugby? Games can be streamed cheap or free and its a cool thing to get into. Especially as the year progresses and the international teams start to form from the super rugby teams. Anyways love your vids man (only saw my first video yesterday). Keep it up. GO THE HURRICANES!!

Hey man, your vids are awesome! Just a quick note on the concept of haka... There are many various types of haka and whilst they are predominantly recognised today as challenges of battle, there are haka that are specially for moments of celebration/grief/welcome etc. Haka is becoming more mainstream and so it’s getting overused in a way, but traditionally (and even today) to receive a haka in the context of celebration was a huge honor. It’s not uncommon to see haka at funerals or at weddings as a show of support or love or respect. Not to try and take away anything from what these guys did here, if you want to see how haka was more traditionally performed, checked this video out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJqvYYupaZJlh8U

9:28 i was a rugby player from the same place as jonah at the same time playing the same position left wing he was one reason i couldnt climb up the ranks because the players that would of been in the teams jonah played in became reserves to replace him should he get injured, and the players that would of been reserves aint in that team they are in the teams that i played in making it hard for me to get game time because i am a reserve for them instead of being the main player in that position , each team has 2 wingers and reserve wingers for them, i played a similar game to jonahs , run over them or run around them and gas them , i would bump off players and stiff arm them aka fend, shove them thru the air and bowl them over in their front on tackle attempt, i concerntrated on muscle building a bulky hard body acts like a bumper car or like youve got a beach ball infront of you you just square them up and boom , tense up and dive in and become a box , my 100 meter time was 11:15 but i was only 19 then i got faster in my 20s but didnt post a time
