Maria Sur is a refugee from Ukraine. She was on The Voice Ukraine when the war started, and her and her mom fled to Sweden, where her aunt lives. Her dad is still in Ukraine. Knowing this, the lyrics "I don't have surrender in my veins" and "I will never give up" becomes so powerful.
