As an AFL footballer, he's below average to average. Now, that's not meant as a slight at all, because you have to be very good to play even one game in the AFL and he's played almost 80. His biggest problem is consistency. The gap between his best and worst is huge. He'll have a really good game, then not get a touch for a month. Still an amazing effort.

Was just thinking, it’d be extra difficult to rate Mason as some of our Aussie footballers start playing about the age of 5. Even before that as toddlers I remember my brothers kicking the footy out the backyard. Mason hasn’t had that advantage, but he’s very dedicated. I’m definitely no footy expert lol, but he seems determined, and he’s still here and still playing and loving it, he’s got the right attitude and seems like a lovely man. I’ll be cheering him on, that’s for sure 😊

@@Dr_KAP oh yeah absolutely, many Americans have only watched AFL because of Mason. You probably already know, they have USAFL in America now. KZbin during Covid has spread AFL around the world even quicker

His accent is very noticeable to other Americans. He developed it during his time in Australia. He’s been here since 2014, so 8 years is definitely enough time to pick up some “Aussie-ness” 😁 Mason’s a really nice guy, very approachable. He struggles to maintain consistency in the game, but he’s done well when you consider most players start from a very young age ✌🏼

I’m Aussie, I can still only hear Mason’s American accent lol. He really does seem like a lovely young man.

Mason Cox is really loved as a person in Australia. But he is 31 now and is struggling in his AFL career... might be his last year.

Mason has lived in Australia for 9yrs so of course he will pick up an Aussie accent.. He actually became an Australian citizen last year... so he has a dual citizenship with U.S & Australia...
