Hello from Norway, we have a saying here that i have heard since i was a child, "Nature is Norwegians Church"... I think that is a beautiful thing, if one takes that to heart you will understand this world in a new way, and also get a more respectful view of animals and their place alongside us humans in nature. Very glad that Ward'runa touches more hearts all over the world..

The Sky-Daughter is a bear (Birna). The song laments the loss of the forests and human's true path, along with the forest shepard (bear) who left with the trees. It asks Birna who we were, who we are now, and where we must go. Sung in ancient/proto Norse as are all Ward'runa songs (Ward - protection, runa - rune, i.e. symbols of protection) which is now considered a lost language, even Norwegians struggle to understand the lyrics. Your observations and interpretations are incredibly intelligent and soulful! Absolutely on point, I only clarify here a few of the finer details. Awesome video man. Hope this convinces you to check out more Wardruna and maybe some Heilung and Eivor Palsdottir too!

wardruna touches the deepest roots. the female vocals are crazy good and super tribal. do you know where the faroe islands are? between iceland and norway and they are home to the phenomenal eivør pálsdóttir and you should meet her at the old theater in tórshavn to listen to falling free. by the way, she is a vocal giant, classically trained sopran and owns a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques

Hi there from Spain..The shepard of the forest has left because there is no forest...beautiful and sad...using a bear as mteaphore for how we were and are in these days...yes we need to look back sometimes and try to learn from it. We work on wildlife conservation project here and we can see what is happening to our surroundings...enyone wants to come along is more than wellcome. Wardruna is an magic inspiration.

😂.. I seen in the comments that someone writes that they sing in old norse😂😂😂- That is wrong- it’s in Norwegian but in the original Norwegian called nynorsk. That people living in Oslo sms sentrale east if Norway doesn’t want to learn anymore, because they think that bokmål is Norwegian, but it actually is Danish/ Norwegian- and now they dont understand their own language 😅- it’s sad actually. This lyrics is in Norwegian language as we speak it to day ❤
