Ali fought in Zaire (now Congo) in 1974. The fans chanted "Ali boma ye!" which means "Ali kill him!" in Lingala. Ali did visit South Africa in the 90s though. He travelled to a couple of countries in and around the continent during his time for activism and kinda protesting war and stuff. South Africa has been called South Africa since 1910 which was before Ali was born so... also DRC is in Central Africa while South Africa is precisely the southern tip (😅). Btw yes Omah Lay is Nigerian. Very unique artist. His work is just pure ecstasy and vibes.
