Greg Hemphill, who plays Victor, was actually born and raised in Canada. Later in the show Jack and Victor visit Canada and his real brother is the Candian lift operator at the Sears Tower. Some saying it had subtitles in England are lying, it didn't. The BBC ruined this show down South by pushing it on BBC2 late at night. It was actually extremely popular with the majority of northerners. It's those southern English who didn't get it. Up here in Yorkshire they could've done live shows, it was shown from viewership to be as popular as in Scotland. Chewin the Fat was huge here. The later series, when they returned, were pushed on BBC 1 but it was too late, the soft southern folk were too busy watching BBC4. I travelled up to Glasgow to watch it live, absolutely brilliant. The actor who plays Naveed and the Director throughout the run were English so any English jokes they make are in jest.

Hey Alan, today, 24th of May, 2023 - there's some Still Game news! Here is a heavily edited portion of the piece: Still Game whisky wins Jack Daniel's trademark war! Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill launched the whisky in 2021. The comedy duo who named a Scotch blend after their most famous characters have won a trademark battle with US whiskey giant Jack Daniel's. The popular BBC Scotland sitcom aired its ninth and final series in 2019. The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) found in favour of Jack and Victor and said the trademark could proceed to registration. Hemphill and Kiernan had applied to register Jack and Victor as a trademark for whisky and other drinks-related services but Jack Daniel's lawyers opposed the application. Jack Daniel's, a Tennessee whiskey, has registered trademarks in the UK for terms including "Jack" and "Gentleman Jack". The UKIPO said the differences between the two brands were "too great" for there to be any confusion and found there was no evidence Hemphill and Kiernan were attempting to take advantage of Jack Daniel's reputation. The Jack and Victor whisky, which comes from Loch Lomond Distillery, costs about 30% more than the US brand. After losing the case, Jack Daniel's was ordered to pay £3,200 in costs to Jack and Victor Limited, the company used by Hemphill and Kiernan to market their product. Jack Daniel's declined to comment on the case.

Fun fact: Shug's actor Paul Young has large, stick-out ears in real life but they thought it would be even funnier to double down on it and add prosphetic ears to his real ears to make them even larger.
