Yes, Jonah, you're correct. Swing is the lateral movement in the air before interacting with the pitch. Spin and seam are the resultant movements after interacting with the pitch.

Great Reaction. Shoaib was a real gangsta on the cricket field. He had an aura, those slick hair, that chain in the neck, that long run up and that pace and swing, he was every batsman's nightmare. His yorkers were absolute lethal but so were his bouncers. He has injured some great batsmen, there's a compilation of that on YT too. Shoaib was a complete fast bowler. Off the field he's a great guy, always joking around and has a great TV and social media presence. Man got his own KZbin channel and I think it's the biggest channel to come out of this region. This was my first video of yours and I'm impressed by your knowledge and interest in the game, subscribed. Love from Pakistan. And yes those retro jerseys are awesome. Also I only realized now that he did have something with New Zealand, some of his best performances are against them.

Now thats shoaib, total mayhem , critical & severely destroying any batting line up , early retiring the top notch renowned batsmen, a wild , untamed , lawless , aggressive, wreckless, hothead, brutal, lethal & fearsome rottweiler on the pitch & the contrary off pitch. You are right. Yorkers are balls that are swinging thru the air. And yes yorkers can target the batter's feet. Spin uses the bounce and is usually a much slower throw. A bouncer is a throw that comes into your body or your head.

Something swings in air... So when ball moves in air its swing bowl... No revolutions on ball given here to have magnus effect on ball to make it swing it has to be fast straight with nice seam(the stiched line on the ball) position. Spin when its grips and turn.. there are revolutions on the ball given by the bowler Another movement is there other than swing and spin its called seam movement it also comes off the pitch after hitting on seam and suddenly changing direction.. happens on deliveries bowled by fast bowler thus they are also called seam bowlers.

Spin and swing ...... yes you got it. Well done ! ....... pretty much all the other American cricket reactors refer to swing bowling as 'spin'. Easy way to tell when you're watching ...... swing or seam bowlers bowl fast or at least 'medium pace' so they run up to impart momentum to the ball. Spin bowlers bowl slow so the ball has more time in the air to 'spin' and gather rotational movement. Their 'action' is all in the wrist or fingers so they don't need to run up fast and usually just walk in a few paces before letting the ball go.. Before they're not running up spin bowlers exert less energy and call often bowl for hours on end in Test matches whereas fast bowlers, (pace, swing or seam) usually bowl in 6-8 over spells then take a rest

There are two kinds of bowlers in cricket... Spinners and pacers... Spinners roll their fingers around the ball while releasing the ball.. Since the ball is rolling, after hitting the turf it turns in one way but in case of pace we hold the ball with three fingers viz. Index, middle and thumb... While releasing the ball we roll our index finger and middle finger as much as possible over the seam i.e. the white stitches in the middle of the bowl.. Answer to your question about swing & spin...There are two types of bowlers.. Fast bowler and a slow/spin bowler. Fast bowler swings the ball either right or left..spin/slow bowler spins the ball either right or left. So, swing is for a fast bowler and spin for a slow bowler.

Number 2- I thought it was Leg Before Wicket too, but look again the bail fell off. So that was out bowled too. Hi Jonah. The man bowled or sorts of deliveries (balls) but all of them were express fast. The yorker is one of the fastest fast balls as the ball is in the air longer before pitching and slowing down. He's even getting it to move sideways so it's like a fast ball and a slider at the same time.

It's neither possible nor sensible to bowl a yorker every ball. The yorker and bouncer (a short-pitch ball which bounces high towards the ribs, armpits or head) are the surprises that the fast bowler has up their sleeve, and that will always be in the back of the batter's mind.

There's spin, swing and seam. Spin is by making the ball spin and hit on its seam at a diagonal/horizontal rotation to create variation, and is usually produced by slow bowlers. Fastest bowler in history was Jeff Thomson of Australia in the '70's and '80's , dont listen to the mob. Jeff was recorded once in 1975 by the first speed camera for a university project ( not tv related) 30-40 deliveries or so, he was clocked at 160.4 kph what are the odds they captured his fastest ever ball in his whole career over 12years that afternoon? ( He was still nudging 100mph, 1 year before retiring and after major shoulder reconstruction, the secret was his action, he's the only bowler to really utilise the javlin thrower technique, the arc of his swing was enormous)

Andrew Webb thommo might have hit 166 i reckon. Remember when the WSC had a fast bowling comp in 1979 with speed guns ( measuring pace at the batters end) , all the best were there, the famous West Indian quartet, Imran Khan, Garth Le Roux, blistering hot day, Thommo turned up without bowling for 12 months as he'd been banned for wanting to sign up with Packer, no training, no net action, nothing. He won by a big margin, it was his technique that did it.
