Hi Zuzana, In india making a family means getting married is a being responsible that means man will take care of his parents till their last breath in the same way they took care of him when he was born…….and not only his parents even his parents wife parents too in the same way……in India family are important cause it’s treated as the most important responsibility cause mom n dad are treated as resembles of God cause they brought you in the world and every father earn for his kids future it’s a father responsibility……….these things are very different from the world but we love family………Indian society are thousands years old husband and wife are referred as lord Ram and Mata Sita………so Indian society is very much about culture……..for understanding this you need to be a part of it.

Look my dear💕 zuzana, mostly in our big Indian🇮🇳 city's, you don't expect much personal space and cleanness there. But our Indian🇮🇳 medium and small sized cities are, much cleaner and peaceful, compared to a big cities in India🇮🇳. And, you have also a chance of personal space there.

Hi Zuzana, I am a Malaysian of Tamil ethnicity. The video you reacted to of Max Chernov's channel is just one of the many great gems that he has on his channel. He is Singapore based and has done a lot interviewing expatriates in both Singapore and Malaysia. Now, he has brought expatriates in India into his sphere of content. BTW, the American expatriates in this video has really shared candid stories of his experiences in Mumbai and Delhi. Eastern culture is family centric thus far. Change is certainly inevitable though it may take a very long time for anything drastic. Till then let us enjoy living as family.

Indian family system is best. It's a tried and tested with far better success rate than western idea of independent and "individual space" system. If you love someone you put them before yourself and taking care of them is love. Both system has positive and negative points to it but indian family value system positive points weights the negative.

It's always how you look at it - indeed there are pros and cons to everything in life. It's also about our values and what you are used to. and at the end of the day we come here alone and we leave alone so it's ultimately our decision about how we choose to live our lives. Families can be very toxic sometimes and not good for your mental health but if you are part of an amazing family it will elevate you. It's hard to judge sometimes.

Eastern Europe is more Indic in values than Western Europe. FYI, there is a lot of language cross-section between Sanskrit and Lithuanian. Goes to show how much India has influenced throughout history particularly in Balkans and Nomads of Greece. Culture is India, even China got influenced. India is historic, there is no chest thumping, it is what it is.

Why do they say , a friend in need is a friend indeed? If u really love ur parents, u hav to be there when they need something, whats the point of saying i love 100 times in a year bt when they need u , U busy in ur own shit and say that u dont hav time for them...even if the family dynamics r different, an old couple is an old couple. Old people need love , affection and care as much as young people. I cant imagine letting my parents live their old life alone in a big house. I must hav to be there to make their life as happening as they made my life a celebration when i was young. When we were kids ,our parents change their lifestyles only to accomodate us,,, why cant we change us a little to accommodate our old parents? Every independent son, must keep his parents with him , if his parents are retired and bored and old. Humans r social animal, we love sharing space

FYI: Mumbai people and almost no North, West or East Indian people say 'yes' with that head-nodding he showed. That particular head-nodding 'yes' (side to side with a wobble) mostly done in the four South Indian states, although there might be exceptions. North Indians say yes with a short 'up n down' head nod like most Westerners. Sadly the Southern head nod has become a cliche for all Indians because of the South Indian immigrants in US. Other than this the American guy was spot on as far as Mumbai goes. I watched the original video and he was quite accurate about Mumbai. Saying ahoj to Zuzana and Slovakia from Mumbai 👋🏽🇮🇳🇸🇰

You said it right.. Every city is different in India and it is very vase different every state and north and south. Also he is just putting from Mumbai perspective. Traffic is high on major cities but many places are there where the traffic is not high. Also we do not have just Bollywood or Hindi cinema we have film industry from every state and film is part of our culture.. Film is very different every state in India..

i wouldn't say crowded not all cities are densely populated its majorly in Mumbai that happens its very over priced there where i stay which is a tier 2 city also very clean we don't have such population density like Mumbai our state is Odisha and we barely have 5 million ppl but yeah we do live with our parents and we don't share personal space that's only mumbai coz its so costly there

Interesting perspective. I think we all are different. There are different personality types and everyone gains energy from doing different things. I'd say I'm an introvert naturally but I have always loved to see how extroverted people were so I'm a 'learnt' extrovert. However, when covid happened. I was so happy to be in my room and read books and don't have anyone dragging me out - hence my true nature is really introverted at first.

The guy is living in Mumbai ,with probably a lower midle class family . Bombay particularly is very expensive like London so space is scarce. So his experiance is with a midle class family ,having a Mumbai centric experiance, in midle class terms, in the dencity of a certain part of Mumbai . But most families dont squees in one room ,like his experience was . Its seems like a lower middle class experiance . Anyways the humanity counts the most and the Indian culture .

so I lived in the UK = and actually I don't think people are rich there - like average people - not rich and their accommodation is really bad - bills are very high so value for the money most of them are actually far from having money - you'd be surprised.

Nowadays things are changing a little because it greatly depends on in which city you are working like if you're parents live in a particular city but you work in a different cities where you completed your studies so you have to live differently and away from a family😢😢❤❤

I guess you will slowly but surely catch up with the West. - where the family bonds are not as strong anymore but it also depends where in the west you are talking. the poor countries have strong family bonds - rich countries less so. But as we all know, there is always an exception to every "generalisation"

@@zuzanareacts I was not talking about any countries in the west or comparing, I was just saying that it's sad now for me specially where I have to leave my parents from my hometown and go to some other cities for job opportunity like I have studied in delhi and got the job here only, so that's why I was just a bit sad because as a coorporate job we don't get much leaves or opportunity to go and meet our family, it's been a year I have visited my family, that's what I wanted to say 🙏🙏😅, why you always get me wrong 😅❤

If you are searching for a toilet, but cant communicate in language other understands, then gesture helps to get quick directions, if you dont want to shout to a large crowd publicly for directions, then silent search for directions helps, also if you are in a public gathering say with your friends etc, rather than excusing the person whom you were chatting and suddenly taking leave, a simple pinke indicator(little finger) can silently convey the reason to leave and they understand and know you be back, rather than they publicly inquiring where you going mate, then then embarrassing you have to tell all reason why, you can avoid all that, so it doesnt happen in first place

Mumbai's traffic is a lot worse compared to other cities because people from all over the country go there for work. And pinky finger is used mainly by kids In schools for asking or telling to go to loo, They don't wiggle it. I think he was just trying to show the finger by wiggling it.

so we use hand gestures in school and colleges to take permission to use the washroom or bathroom with out disturbing the class , traffic is there but only in few citys such as Banglore and mumbai ETC.. say if your travalling to diffrent locations then there would be no traffic , Delhi is a place there is more aggresion even when i travell to delhi i stay garded , about space and privicy if you tell the other person they will not disturb you , now a days some people are even staying as neigbours with there parents so they dont disturb each other spaces but when there is a need they will be there for each other

I had a question. What do u mean when u say west? Do u consider Nordic and Balkan area as west or is it different ? Also, by staying close to family in India, it is more of responsibility that love (to be very accurate), bcz at time of need u can provide that helping hand. I have lived in US and what I saw is that for old people it is at times difficult. But yeah this is the independence that maybe people want, and for us (Indians) we want the social closeness. So, yeah thatz cultural difference. It is more of what u like

Theres no such thing as privacy in India. If you watch a video on your phone in a tram, the guy sitting mext to you will peak at your video the whole time. If you're alone in your room , some aunt will peak through the door and ask "what are you doing alone?". They cant understand the fact that people want to be alone. Unfortunately you can never have privacy in india

And there are various stereotypes ( negative) against introverts. Introverts are seen as arrogant and cunning. It's not a great place for introverts unfortunately

It's a western trend that younger and modern people are adopting but for my parents generation there was no such thing as depression or anxiety. If you tell them you're depressed they tell you to "wake up at 6 am, stop waking up late at night, stop scrolling your phone , pray to God and everything will be okay". They think if you go to a psychiatrist or psychologist you're already a crazy person

The video you are reacting to is very nice because those people who have lived long enough in a country like india will be past their honeymoon phase. At the same time they will be able to give an honest and deeper opinion regarding the country. And all of these people who i see are extroverted and can tolerate spices. That being said your video isnt bad at all you provided good insights by pausing the video and doing the commentary, maybe you will visit india some day and might like it. no pressure LOL.
