Try watching Dimash's STORY OF ONE SKY (he wrote this song) and AVE MARIA (not the usual Ave Matia other vocalists covered). Then see if you can think of any vocalists who are capable of singing these songs (both songs)....one singer ya singing BOTH songs with equal or better quality than Dimash. Dimash sang both songs LIVE too on his concert tours. You would need to combine 3 to 4 vocalists of various ranges(at least) to be able to sing nearly as good (not quite) as Dimash.

Dimash Qudaibergen is from Kazakhstan, which was a part of the Soviet Union. The official language is Kazakh, even though a part of the population has Russian as the first language. And Russian is still taught in schools. Hence Dimash, Kazakh speaker, also is fluent in Russian. He has also worked a lot in Russia, but since the war, Russia's attack on Ukraine, he hasn't done anything there. Dimash has strongly declared that he doesn't support war, at all. Soon after the war broke out, he wrote and recorded the music for a short film, in which he also is acting, 'The Story of One Sky'. It's a clear statement against war. You should watch it. The number of languages he SINGS in is constantly increasing, now some people say 15, some say 13. However, he doesn't SPEAK all those languages. Except for Kazakh and Russian he speaks English decently, and has tried to learn Mandarin (Chinese), but said it's too hard, and takes too much time from his singing. He can keep a simple conversation going. 'SOS d'un Terrien en dêtresse' (French) was written by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon in 1978, for the rock opera 'Starmania', a French and Canadian collaboration. They wrote it specifically for Daniel Balavoine and his voice and wide range. (Dimash has widened the range of the song even further!) Daniel Balavoine had struggled to have that great break through as a singer, though he had some popularity, he became a star in mainly France through 'Starmania' and especially this song. He tragically died in a helicopter crash in Mali, Africa, in 1986, January 14th, only 33 years old. You can find him on YT, singing his own songs, but also this one, 'SOS d'un Terrien en dêtresse'. He wrote a song 'Tous les cris les S.O.S.', don't confuse them! But, please, listen to it! And the rest of his music. He passed much too young.

Thanks for checking out Dimash again but you really haven't even seen a fraction of what Dimash can do. Maybe Stranger (New Wave 2021) might give you just a slight taste of how extraordinary Dimash is and see why so many people say he is the best singer in the world. I'm a little surprised that Andy mentioned Josh Groban when talking about range, because, while he is a fine singer, Josh Groban has a bit less than 3 octaves. Adele has 3 octaves, Ariana Grande 4 octaves, Freddie Mercury 4 octaves, Mariah Carey 5 octaves. Dimash has 7+ and counting. But he's not just about octaves. He sings in many different languages to honor the original music, while also putting his own unique spin on his covers. (Although at this point in his career he doesn't do a lot of covers anymore.) He sings in just about every genre. He is a true student of music and is highly musically trained and educated. He is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. His creativity, musicality, and showmanship are off the charts. And, to top it off, he's a remarkable humanitarian, philanthropist, and ambassador for world peace. I don't know of anyone else like him.

"SOS" is a song written for a French-Canadian rock opera in the 1970's, "Starmania." It was performed then by Daniel Belavoine. The keys lyrics are "Why do I live, why do I die?" Belavoine died tragically in a helicopter accident at the age of 35. In 2004, Gregory Lemarchal performed the song as part of being the winning contestant is a French talent/reality show called, "Star Academy." Gregory won the competition in spite of having cystic fibrosis and having to act, dance and sing with only 25 percent of his lung capacity. It is how Dimash first became aware of the song. Gregory died at the age of 23 while awaiting a lung transplant in hospital. Every French resident knows Gregory's story. Then, in 2018, one of Dimash's best friends, Denis Ten who won bronze in figure skating at the Sochi Olympics, was murdered by hoodlums stealing items off his car in Denis' (and Dimash's) home country of Kazakhstan. Denis was 25. Dimash sings, "SOS," with great passion every time in honor of those who died so young.

Dimash is Kazakhstani, and he was singing in French here. He was classically trained and started practising singing at a very young age and now he sings professionally and he has said his music style is neo-classic. Dimash incorporates multiple music genre in a single song, he does folk, pop, rock, rnb, soul, classical, rap and so forth thus making him unique in that way. As for his vocal range he effortlessly transition from high to the low or vice versa at anytime or moment in the song. But what I truly love about him which I don't see in many singers in this generation is his conviction when he sings, he could be singing in any language or just vocalisation and you can see and feel the pain, joy, love, heartache and even his mood. He doesn't sing for fame or riches he genuinely sings with passion and it is his way of sharing and giving love to people. That is the true beauty of the one and only Dimash Qudaibergen! Andy, if you want to see/hear more please check out these songs: Stranger - kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfWc2h-i9OgiaM English song Ikanaide - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp6wXpWmarV1aZY Japanese song AveMaria - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o32qaZpopNR5iaM Vocalisation Know - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3TFoadqbbChqrs Vocalisation The Story of One Sky - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4HWm6qpbpx5paM English Song (the official MV then his live performance) Be With Me - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2G2oKGif8t8i68 English song (for the rapping) p.s. Dimash is capable of hitting the "whistle note" - in this performance which he is singing in Kazakh "Unforgettable Day" kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2aViXefoctpaJo and New Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance in Chinese kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHTVf4mXjah1Zs0 where he just throws it in like its nothing!

He can hit any note really and sing in many languages. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English being his recent third language with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. Dimash is absolutely incredible. Check out Autumn Strong , or Ikanaide. If you want his far more, do his MV , The Story of One Sky. He composed the music, he sings every note, and acts. He does a variety of different things with his voice you may not have ever heard. It is like a mini movie, 12 minutes long but the message is about the need for people to be more accepting of each other and no war. It is absolutely stunning.

Dimash can do all the things you listed and more, including growl, screaming, higher whistles than Mariah, just name it. But he doesn't have anything to prove and he doesn't compete with anyone. He is not only about technicities. Dimash for me is the king of emotions, he heals souls. No matter in what range he sings, he sings to my soul like nobody else has ever done. He is a story teller, he transmits the meaning and the emotions of every song.

Thanks for your reaction. Dimash is considered by many professionals as the best singer of the world because he has a total control of his voice in all registers. There are amazing singers but in a specific range or a specific style. Dimash can do everything. Perfectly. So technically he is indeed the best. Putting that aside, loving his music or not is a question of taste, of feeling. But for me, his most impressive talent is his ability to convey emotions because in each performance, he gives everything and feels each word and each note. And beyond his insane vocal skills, he is a very beautiful person, a deep and pure soul: in the world of music industry, he is an exception. This is why his fans love him so viscerally. He is unique, an absolute giant.

Él dice que lo suyo es un 1% don y 99% trabajo duro, y a pesar de todo lo que lo amamos sus Dears (así llama él a sus fans, porque los considera de su familia) su fama y talento, es una persona súper humilde. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He speaks Kazakh, Russian, English (which continues to improve) and some Chinese. This is a song from the French Canadian rock opera Starmania and is considered one of the 5 most difficult French songs to sing. He also sings in Kazakh, Russian, English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, to name a few. He sings multiple genres and even raps in a couple songs. He has a 6-7 octave range. He has been singing and training since he was 5 years old. He is currently living in the US and working with various producers. He also plays instruments and has written and composed some of his own material in addition to doing covers of Lara Fabian, Queen, MJ, Céline Dion, Eric Carmen and Lionel Richie. This song is considered his calling card and what made him world famous. He just turned 29 at the end of May. He has a ton more surprises in store so this rabbit hole is immense. Try his song Stranger. It gives a better idea of his range and shows a variety of the techniques that Andy talked about. This song was just a small taste.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. If you want to see another awesome song than I recommend Stranger. Stranger: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfWc2h-i9OgiaM Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m glad you discovered Dimash and I hope you continue to react to videos of him. You are just at the beginning and you will discover so many completely different and incredible songs yet if you are willing to continue on this emotional ride. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Great post. Thank you so much for doing this. Stranger is also one of my best. It’s getting harder to single out songs I consider to be one of ‘my best’ the more I listen to Dimash, which incidentally means every day, the number of ‘my bests’ increase 😂 Another one of ‘my best’ is Ikanaide, it’s beautiful, and whilst he may be singing in a different language there’s something in his voice that appears to resonate with the soul bringing forth the emotion and meaning of the song. He’s a beautiful soul, I just love him 💕

@@carolinemccready9513 Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Most of the time my favorite song is the song I'm listening to🤭. I also can't decide which one is better. My absolute favorite song, however, is Love Of Tired Swans. I hear it again and again, no matter where I am. Sometimes more than once in a row. I would just be happy if I could sing along better in Russian😂.

He’s from Kazakhstan, but this song is in French. Dimash doesn’t use falsetto until he’s near whistle register, it’s all head voice. This song only shows 15% of what he can do with his voice. Josh Grobin can’t even get near Dimash’s range. Dimash hit a D8 in “Unforgettable Day” at Gakku. Dimash covers throat singing, operatic, pop, metal screams, Middle Eastern yodel, etc. in “The Story of One Sky”.

Dimash can sing anything with quality. No one can touch him. Hitting a note is not the same as singing it beautifully. Check out Olimpico live Arnau concert or Stranger at New Wave. Being a male he can put Mariah to shame. As well as baritone range. Switching between them flawlessly. His highest whistle note is a D8. He can also rap. He’s quite a unique vocal wonder. And a sweet humble person. From Kazakhstan.

Dimash's range is from a G0 to a D8 musical note outside the piano, and it's not that Dimash wants to show what a human voice can do, it's his style, as he has said, he likes to put his personal touch on a song, and that means spectacular notes because he brings an opera style in his blood because his mother is a soprano and his father is also a well-known singer in Kazakhstan. Thx for the reaction, enjoy the journey. You aren’t heard nothing Jet .

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is singing in French here. This is a cover, not his original song. To check out more of his range, look at Stranger, which he sings in English. I read somewhere he has been training his voice since he was 5 years old. He can sing in multiple languages, and can play multiple instruments. Crazy talented.

I don't know about falsettos, but, Dimash has a 7-octave and 2 semi-tone range and has no difficulty hitting his notes. The kid sounds like he really does not want to admit how exceptional Dimash truly is. Plus, the two of you have not heard anything yet. Dimash sang The Show must go On, and Brian May said Freddie Mercury would be proud. Listen to more of Dimasha and see what I'm talking about. Oh. Dimash can also hit a D-8, as he did in Unforgettable Day.

I don't know if you have seen the movie 'The fifth element' with Bruce Willis. There is a scene, where a blue alien sings an opera song, which was written explicitly in a way that it is impossible to sing for a human voice, so it was done by a computer in the movie. There are a few (female) opera singers that managed to sing the song with a few small changes. And Dimash is the only male singer who do it as well (with some minor changes). There are a few versions of this song, called 'Diva Dance', by him on KZbin. My personal favorite is in a mashup with another song 'Drunken Concubine' that he performed together with another artist (Li Yugang), who is a Chinese traditional Peking Opera singer. It's a breathtaking piece with two wonderful voices which really complement reach other. In that performance, he also shows almost his full range, from earthquake growl to dolphin sounds.

Hey guys, top reaction as always. Few words from me - I've been watching a lot of reaction videos on your channel lately and I've also been following Dimash for a while now. What I can say is he is the equivalent of H Mack if we are talking skill levels. This dude does not miss a single note on 4 hour long concert, can sing like Pavarotti and Mariah Carey withing a 3 minute long song, sings in like 14 different languages, can play 10+ musical instruments and so on. There is a reason most vocal coaches and people involved with singing consider him the greatest vocalis to have probably ever lived. Go listen to a couple more songs of his - I'd recommend Stranger as it's in english and would give you a better idea of what Dimash really is. Keep the vids coming lads, cheers!

His sung live range is G0-D8 7.7 octaves nobody is doing that. But that's not the extent of him, he is pitch perfect, complete control to climb and drop octaves all through his range, excellent microphone technique, and performance and emotes are top notch. Sings multi genres and in many languages.

Lol, Dimash can do all those things your friend mentioned, only did not put everything in this one song. He can hit whistle note D8 (in Unforgettable Day performance on Gakku festival) metal scream and growl, throat singing, middle eastern melismas ( in The Story of One Sky) - btw, both songs are his own composotions (he wrote the script & plays the protagonist in the music video of the latter, and he composed the former at age 17)... He is the most versatile singer ever! He choses his tools (I mean vocal technics, styles) as the songs requires. He sings in many genres & styles, mixing them in his songs (opera, pop, folk, rock, edm, jazz, rap...his runs & riffs like of an rnb singer...his main genre is crossover, neo classical) in 15 languages. He is universjty trained in clasdical & pop jazz vocal, a multi-instrumentalist, got his master degree in composition, soon to be phd in musicology etc... Ah, and he's Kazakh, not Korean. His range A2-D8 I don't think Mariah C or Josh Grobanor Marcellito Pomoy has that range. You can't put Dimash in a box. There are great singers, who are good in this and that but noone can do all those thongs he cam do with his voice - and it is objective fact. The subjective thing is only wether someone likes his music & style or not, but his vocals... there is nothing to argue about. Experts, vocal coaches can explain, analyse it better than me or your friend.
