Die Ärzte (German for "The Doctors") are a German Punk Rock Band. I don't know if they would agree being the German version of Phil Collins 🤣

Die Toten Hosen and Die Arzte are two awesome German punk bands with extensive history. Both bands were founded in 1982 and are still kicking. They had huge hits in the '80s and '90s. They weren't successful only in Germany, but in different parts of Europe, mostly Central- and Eastern-Europe. You should check them out, guys.

rednex had 3 songs in germany, iirc spirit of the hawk was also a hit. stefan raab (the country song at the end) he's a .. yeah some say comedian... host at his own show where he clipped words or video snippets to release them in between, just like a meme today and there was this woman with a very heavy accent having a fight with her neighbour about the chickenwire fence (I think it is callen in english) and he thought it had a swag in it so he made song about maschendrahtzaun (chicken wire fence) die doofen (the stupid), also a camedy band singing about body smell

The last country song was by Stefan Raab, a famous late night host in Germany. He also participated at Eurovision multiple times and hostet the 2011 ESC. He participated in 2000 with "Wadde hadde dude da" and was host of the casting show for the ESC 2010 contestant where Lena won with Satelitte.

The german 'country singer' is Stefan Raab. He hosted a tv show called 'Raab total' ... a story about a fight between neighbors about a fence and a bush turned out to be quite profitable - Raab used audio/videoclips in his show and played them at random times for laughs or to make a point. He made fun of the womans nasal voice saying 'Maschendrahtzaun' and 'Knallerbsenstrauch' and about the ridiculous fight between the two parties... then created a song about it. So, that's the story. He performed 'Rabigramme' in the past too... showing up at random locations with his ukulele to serenade celebreties/polititians, sometimes live during his show ... his texts were mostly cheeky or mean... he was sued so many times for lots of things he said and did... because of his boyish behaviour his audience loved him... Anyhow - he participated in Eurovision a couple of times with songs he produced and one time he did it himself with 'Waddehaddedudeda' and believe me, he understood Eurovision and had a great sense for the 'Zeitgeist' in general - everything he touched turned to gold.

the "third" song "Pumpup das bier" is a parody of the song "Pump up the Jam" by Technotronix... a very popular section of "German music" where a popular beat is simply taken and remastered with new "German lyrics". the best example I can give is the different versions of "Hansel and Gretel" by OTTO, "THE" German comedian who managed to send viewers of his film to hospital because of muscle cramps from laughing. "OTTO the film"

Die Doofen was a comedy act. It was supposed to be silly and it was hilarious back in the day.

Kudos to the guy who puts these #1 videos together - it's a lot of work but hella worth it. The main takeaway from this video i think is Germans love dancing. I speak German and love Germany but their tastes can sometimes be described as a bit basic.

As far as I saw, most of the English spoken songs, especially with the German ones they liked the rythm, but didn't know what really to say more about it ...

That pump up the beer tune is a comedy cover of Technotronics pump up the jam. Germany sure likes some garbage music. Not a good song on this list. Ultra cheese.
