+Mimi D yes. that's true. he is settled in here now and sings all through the day. i leave the door cracked open a little in the mornings because he likes to hear the birds outside and that usually starts him going :)

I have parakeets and I don't know what I would do without hearing them sing every day. my parakeet that passed away recently heard the Andy Griffith theme song so much from me watching it,he actually memorized it lol.so they are pretty smart! I would love some finches one day. love your canary ♡

+Mimi D before this bird i primarily kept exotics like scorpions and lizards but I outgrew all of that and my Mom has been telling me all about birds. She has a singer canary too. So eventually here I am with my own singer. We are getting on really great so far and as I watch him I am noticing that they are just as smart as any other pet (if not smarter). I am sad to hear about your parakeet that has passed ;( That's really funny about the Andy Griffith show though! lol. i watch all old stuff too. i love Lucy and leave it to Beaver. black n whites and Alfred Hitchcock etc... i've put bird feeders out in my back yard now and have attracted some very nice birds. I believe some of them are finches. they are super tiny and so cute. have a good weekend Mimi.. ttyl
