Great games once again 👍 Mana Barbs, Ankh and Vise go so well together. I also play a playset of Copper Tablets with it. Works like a charm against cop red or moat.

Brainstorm MTG , true and if you’re the aggro player having bolts and chains 👍 Could you explain the trigger order again at the end of the match? Wasn’t the control player first getting 3 life from the swords on his own Serendib and then all the other triggers resolve, right?

Timmy the Sorcerer James was at one after Disintegrate. Mark responded with Bolt, James had a Swords to Plowshares, so he could gain life, but would need to tap a land with Manabarbs out. Casting Swords as usual doesn’t work. You announce the spell, and the trigger ends up on top of it, so it resolves first. If you tap the plains at one, put the Manabarbs trigger on the stack, then Swords in response, you gain four, then lose one, then bolt resolves and you end up at one life. Disintegrate then resolves and wins you the game.

@@ELDsTimeVaultGames , thanks for the explanation. Let me see if I can wrap my head around it. Let me think; 1) he plays the Disintegrate and goes to 1, 2) the Bolt is played, 3) in response he taps a plains, triggering the Mana Barbs, 4) with the pains he casts a Swords on his own Serendib. The triggers resolve as follows: 1) Gain 3 life from Swords, James goes to 4 (Serendib is 3/4) 2) The plains damage is dealt from the Barbs, he goes to 3 3) The Bolt resolves, he goes to 0 The disintegrate never hits its target and Mark wins the game. Is this right? Gotta love old school magic.

Timmy the Sorcerer you are correct. If he was Swordsing a Serra Angel, he would have lived at one life. Only gaining 3 puts him back to zero.

@19:00 what a shame him miscounted the CoP:Red, he should be on one when casting the Swords to plowshares, right?
