Vito, I recently found your channel and am loving it. Watching every video. Let me tell you a quick story. I was 15 years old and learning to drive. My parents bought a house outside of my small hometown in southern Minnesota. The people from whom we bought the house had an auction. One of the things up for auction was a 1985 Mercedes 190E four cylinder five speed manual with over 350,000 miles on it. I had been saving money for a car, and at the auction I got the 190E for $1200 (in 2000) and it became mine. It was my first car, but had a lot of things to fix. I drove it so much and loved it (even said I love you for the first time in that car) so it had huge much sentimental value. One day the transmission died, but determined to fix it, I got a new five speed manual from a guy for $300 and my dad and I installed it ourselves in the middle of a Minnesota winter. Eventually, sadly, it had a vacuum leak and a hydraulic leak that was causing major problems with the clutch. I couldn't afford to tear it apart and find the issues so I sold it for parts (biggest car regret I have). I went on to buy a 1993 300E in 2003 that was mint, but hit a deer with it 3 years later. Picked up a 300TE and drove it to Florida when I moved there, but had to get rid of it when it started having problem after problem, and I was too poor to fix it and give it the love it deserves. I bought another W124 when I came back to Minnesota, but that blew a head gasket and I sold that one for parts too. Finally, I moved to DC and my dad was going to get rid of his 1993 300E W124 2.8L with the M104 engine, so I grabbed it and I drove from Minnesota to DC with it. Its been my daily driver ever since. My wife and I just had a kid, and so we bought a 2010 W163 ML350, just for something a bit newer. That brings me to a question for you. I've been having some issues recently with the 300E (that's why we bought the ML350) - namely with the AC and its been crazy hot here in DC. I recently replaced my auxiliary fans, which were not coming on even when the car was overheating (I also need a new radiator soon), which are now working great. However, they don't come on when the AC is on unless the AC pressure gets high. I has me a bit stumped. I made a video to try to get help diagnosing it, and would be curious what you would do - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5PJfJKHmtN8fZI If you want (and maybe this is an idea for your channel) I could take some video of the car to show you what I have and you could say what you think. Might be a fun way to interact with your specific audience and get them to be a part of your channel - you can show repairs and just cool cars like you are doing in many of your videos - which I love! Anyway, this is a long comment, but as youtuber myself and someone who really loves classic Mercedes, I love your videos.

Hi Kevin! Thanks for watching and supporting! And that's such an amazing story and history you have there! Yes, I love all these cars to death and I save them all. They're amazing cars and every single one of them must be saved! They don't make them the same anymore! I'll check out your channel and the video soon. Your issue with the W124 is pretty weird. I'll find a wiring diagram and study it. Maybe the gauge you are using isn't calibrated properly? I like to use AC manifold gauges from Harbor Freight to check both low and high pressure sides. What's your email address?

Hey man, just found your channel and been watching them out of order. I too am a fan of the older European cars. Have a Volvo 850 Turbo myself. Your 190E reminded me of a neighbor I had growing up. It was grey and he detailed it every weekend. Also growing up I was around a few W124. Being in the Midwest, these classics are a rare sight now. Keep it up on saving them!

You can mix the atf spray with diesel so it gets easier to spray

No. Haven't had issues with that. I have some useless body panels I'll expirement on as well. Now I am curious myself
