This whole song is spectacular, however, am I the only one who especially loves that part when they sing, "Ooh" in between the verses? This song has such a message to it, yet it's also kind of humorous all at the same time. Simple yet profound! Totally James Taylor!!

That expression really takes me back memory lane when boating ruled my life at a tender early age. Sailing a mahogany with canvas sails was so magical! Thanks for the song which made me chuckle.

I love this album! I sang many of these songs with my mom while doing the dishes. Turned an unpleasant chore into something to look forward to. Thank you James!

I choose the sailboat Jesus graced with His apostles. He was confident enough to sleep in the storm. I would have been a passenger who would not have rocked that boat !Lovely rendition of the song James !

Does he ever say in the lyrics "George Washington was crossing the Delaware - and his crew said to him, "Sit down, George, you're rocking the boat!" I heard Stubby Kaye singing this in the "Guys and Dolls " movie on TV on KTLA-Channel 5, this was back in the late 1970s, and I haven't heard it since for over 40 years now . What happened to those lyrics? At that time, did I hear them on another dimension?

Those thumping noises at 1:20 and 2:16 must be James tapping his guitar.

Mr. Kaye gave an interpretation, and a great one. James Taylor is a more than above average interpreter of many genres of music. Using your own words, Mr. Taylor is not bad.
