I'm from the UK but actually live in central Java. I had to come back to the UK for a few months and am heading back to Indonesia (my home, England is not my home anymore) in two weeks. After the crappy UK weather and bland food I can't wait to be back in Indonesia. Martabak with kismis and keju!

Pandan paste does give a nice green colour. But natural pandan leaves only give a light yellowish green colour, not enough to make a cake/dish look attractive. It does give very nice aroma. I even use chopped pandan leaves as a air freshener in my car...☺️ Traditionally, for cake/desserts, we add 'suji' leaves with pandan, to produce a nice green colour.
