Thank you for a good video. Updates are always appreciated and this may just be my opinion, but I liked the old menu much better. The new one feels so square and colorless. At the same time, the old one had nice icons and was in color.

I think, IMO, allows for new additional options to be added in the future. Currently in 1.49, you have all your options that fill up the entire right side of the screen plus the bar at the bottom that is filled plus the left side of the home screen has your notifications along with your current job which can fill up the left side. If they wanted to add anything more, I'm not sure where they could have?
