I have 1 question, ive got them all working except for 1 the dry box 28 ft trailer, if i choose B Double it doenst transfer images to back trailer? fine with 1? like i said all others work, Reefer Triple all trailers have the images i attached, any idea why?

Ok, being as I have just found this tutorial and tried it with success I can vouch that it does still work. for everyone having issues with crashes in the game, make sure you are using doors, and walls that you have the templates for. remember that the "flatbed" curtain doors and walls will not work for the box and vise versa. there are 2 that constantly crash my game when trying to use them because there is no template for them in the file on this tutorial. one if the roll up with lift gate and the other is the "chrome" doors/walls. if using a custom skin, don't use those and it should work fine. you can only use one custom skin in the game at a time using this method because all the tobj files are the same and conflict with the other skins. I have not yet figured out an easy way to fix this issue but there are other tutorials that show how to do so (most tutorials I find are an hour or longer and I get tired of watching them since most of it is a repeat of this) if anyone finds a way to do this with a tutorial please let me know. but if you just want to make a company trailer to go with your company truck, this is a great tutorial.

Yes both mods have different names from start to finish for each mod.I can only use one or the other.Both won't show in paint at same time.

I love the tutorial, clear and straight to the point, just the way it should be. I have one problem though.., when I put more than one of my custom trailers in the ATS mod folder, only one shows up at a time in the paintjob list. Why can't I have more than one of these enabled at a time?

That is normal, because of the names of the files. However this is the easy way. You can only use one skin at a time.

Why is there no template for the 32 foot box and curtain. I assume this is because the trailer chassis option was added after the video. I followed the instructions today. My question is where can I find the 32 foot template. And how can I add it. Any help much appreciated

It would take longer. Need to rename every line in the obj file. I'm sure there's a tutorial out there.

alright so trying to have multiple skin mods ?? when changeing the file names then it dont register ingame but if leave all file names the same, like with in def or material folder they over ride each other skins

I've watched 3 videos on how to do this and your video is the only one so far I have been successful with. The only issue I have is this, I created 3 trailer Skin/Mods using this method and they all show in the Mod manager but only the Skin in highest priority shows in Game. In order to use one of the other Skins I have to go into the Mod manager and move the skin I wish to use above the rest. That skin then shows in the Paint menu but all the rest do not. It's like the game cannot distinguish that the Paint Skins are separate skins.

You are correct. Because they all share the same internal name. You would need to rename every tobj files.

This is good but I downloaded everything you have and for some reason when I pull up the “ATS_ExampleOwnedTrailerSkin.scs” file I don’t have everything you have in the folder. I just have the scs file and nothing else. What should I do?

Hey mate, this is an excellent tutorial, I was able to follow it no problem and have my own skins now. Just one question though, is there something I need to do to make the B-Train trailer work? I'm pretty sure the front trailer is a 28', so that's fine, but I think the rear is a 32' which isn't in the file. Do you know where I can find that one, if that is what I need to add? I would totally appreciate any help you could give on this. Thanks again for the great vid.

This method only allows for one skin at a time. If you want more, it would require a much more complex method.

I followed everything,and everything was fairly easy tks.But when I try to do a second skin,even with different names ,I can put both in the mold folder and I can see both skin mods.When I go into trailer dealership and paint ,only one of mods show up. i followed each step, step by step and even made test mods to make sure that they all saved correctly and in the correct folders, the problem i have is that when i go to select it in trailer config or dealership it crashes, so i copied the crash log maybe you can help me. here is the crash log : [mods] Cannot find '/mod_description.txt' description file for mod 'nicos trailer skins' any help would be great.

Must be the renaming. If you rename the skin, in some cases you would need to redo all the tobj files as well. If you follow all the steps to a T, you should not have any issues.

You need winzip. if however, you're using winrar rename the scs extension to zip as from (example.scs to example.zip) then extract it with winrar.

If the game crashe something is not right. Be sure to follow all the steps. Its hard to say what it could be, because it could be many things.
