David, everybody, E V E R Y B O D Y ! ! ! Thank you for a brilliant show last night at the Fox Theater in Detroit. The appearance of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble was absolutely the high point of the program. OK, everything was perfect, and magical, and all of my friends were just thrilled to be there. Still, I wanted to embrace these young people. They pulled off a pitch perfect a capella rendition of the song. Clearly, they had rehearsed their butts off. At first we were clapping to the rhythm, but then, with respect people were hushing the clapping so that we could enjoy the pure sound of these young, cheerful, hopeful voices. Thanks again. It was one of those magical lifetime events and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.

This is so beautiful! I don't know why but the lyrics make me think of diaspora cultures (how do we find home? the song makes it seem we never go home but we find togetherness in this moment of making music together despite fascism rising, poverty, trauma... we find beauty in each other's art. Thank you Detroit School of Arts and David Byrne for giving us art in an era where fascism is attempting to rise again. Let us quash it with our art, music, poetry and vinegar in our veins to fight evil wherever it should rise.

Inspiring. Beautifully rendered by great talent. David mentioned this from the stage at his recent concert in Ireland, and graciously acknowledged that this interpretation of the song added something special to the original. Glad I found it this morning.

There is so much talent in the world and so little reward for it in a society that values only paper and numbers? Why can't we create a world where people can live for what they can "do" rather than what another wants them to DO! Usually another who's IRONIC title is "job creator", lol! Utopia is a place where everyone LIVES, WORKS and RESPECTS each other for a common purpose and cause; always reciprocally and on a field that is equal! Humans, throughout their LONG history and pre-history survived because of this, but have lost that sense in more recent times but NOT fully! Bravo!

Rob Hollander. Black unemployments down under trump.. obama. Had illegal immigrant kids in cages .look up the photos on google.. Trump is sending them back home obama released kids and some were murdered in child sex rings. The dems want blacks to stay on their plantation . look at how mothers in haiti despise hillary for stealing thier earthquake fund money.. And again haitian children handled by hillary wound up in child sex rings. Now look at how hsrd trump is going after sex rings. And ms13 gangs . please ...trump is anti new world order
