American Volt BUDGET FRIENDLY Transmission Cooler install!

Racer X Garage Episode 192: Knocking more things off the list of my 1992 LS Swapped Dodge Dakota! This time we’re installing a budget friendly option for a transmission cooler from American Volt! It’s a pretty beefy unit, but we’ll have to get it installed and see how well it works on my 4L80e. My hunch is it will work pretty well, lets hope so at least. This setup can be had for less than $150 bucks, and it is a stacked plate cooler, which is more desirable than the tube and fin. What do you think? Would you run it?

Should mount the cooler between axle and rear bumper. Where mine is and even with a fan attached the unit hardly ever comes on. Away from all the heat

This one is pretty far from the heat as the exhaust crosses over about 18-20 inches before it. One of the reasons its here is to reduce the length of the trans lines. I'd prob of put it upfront otherwise.
