My favorite is North Cascades, it's free, a mountaineering paradise, and there is no one there, feels like true wilderness, and the mountains and alpine are incredible. Most people don't even make it inside the park's true borders, but if you do it's another world. Very few trails, so the people climbing there are experienced, and it keeps away the tourist crowds.

I’ve been to 61 of the 63 parks and Yellowstone is my favorite. No amount of crowds can sour the experience in this park as there is more to see and enjoy here than in any other park. Big Bend and Denali are really high up for me so I’m happy to see them get some love!

My husband & I have toured 35 of the 63 National Parks, many of the National Monuments, National Forests, National Seashores, and more over the years. We hope to add 6 more National Parks to our list of awesome places we have visited this spring. We both have the Senior "America the Beautiful" Lifetime Passes that we acquired years ago, and will continue to use them to enjoy the splendor of many more of our National Parks System. I have so many "favorite" parks that I'm not going to list them here. Each of them have wonders that make then unique and special in their own way. We have also toured many State parks along the way too. Thank you for making these parks available to all for a lifetime of enjoyment.

My favorites: 1. Denali National Park -SO much wildlife there, saw many Grizzly bears, Caribou, Moose, as well as some Dall Sheep, Snowshoe Hares, and Arctic Ground Squirrels -Beautiful views of Mt. Denali from the Eielson Visitor Center -Other gorgeous scenery 2. Kenai Fjords National Park -Great views of Glaciers -Also lots of wildlife, saw many Seals, Sea Lions, Otters, Puffins and other birds, as well as Orcas, Humpback Whales, Dall's Porpoises, and even a Black Bear! -Crazy Coincidence on my visit: I asked the ranger at the beginning of the tour on how likely it was for us to find a bear, and she told me that they're really rare there, but she also told me that they tend to hang out on the rocky beaches near the shore. And a few hours later in the tour, we got to see a Black Bear hanging out on a rocky beach near Holgate Glacier and I couldn't believe what happened! That was also the first bear the ranger saw that year in the park too =3. Yellowstone National Park -Geysers, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Hot springs, Lamar and Hayden Valleys -Spotted Wildlife, including so many bison and elk as well as pronghorns, and a black bear =3. Haleakala National Park -Gorgeous, out of this world, Martian Landscapes on the top of the mountain -Beautiful Sunset and views of the West Maui Mountains and neighboring islands of Lanai, and Kaho'olawe -Saw some endangered Nene geese too!

I've been pretty much to all the parks covered here, yet I just woke up, realizing soooo much of the parks I actually didn't see. Of course, that's the case, just that the way the filming was done just "shocked" me how good they are portrayed. Being in an area by yourself is only satisfying certain parts of one's ambition, but the ultimate beauty and magnificence of a place only comes through with the hovering camera angle, the 3-dimentional feel. Great program.

There are also beautiful rivers with steam and geysers shooting into the air. Well captured. US is blessed to have such beautiful NPs. I may not agree with the ranking especially when Glacier NP is ranked at the bottom of the list, lower than Crater lake. beauty depends a lot on which season you visit. I’ve visited Yosemite in all 4 seasons on multiple occasions. It’s under whelming in fall and summer, spectacular in winter and spring. It’s a well curated list, visit them yourself and rank them.

Keep in mind though that Glacier is 25th on the list that they mentioned and that there were 37 other parks that they did not mention. Glacier is spectacular.
