I've got to say, this is by far the most extensive video I have seen of the Expo, this year, or years past. Great job, and thank you! Seems like the attendance is down significantly from years past.

@@larryneergaard5905 i appreciate the feedback. It’s a great show and one of my favorites to attend. They did say that Wednesday was shoulder to shoulder but fell off after that. I do know it was a sold out show. With them selling tickets from January on many could have failed to make it from then to Oct. Our Friday tour of the show was skimpy though.

The new scag stand on mower you have to adjust the belt because the engine doesn't move up and down like it does on the high end wright stand ons. On a stand on the engine is closer to the mower deck. So the pitch of the belt is more. Kinda like lifted mud truck how drive axel is tilted down mower than a factory pickup

So many riding mowers and the auto mower with the string trimmer was very cool...! Was there any small walk behind or reel type mowers at the show?
@americandream_892 ай бұрын
That auto mower with the string trimmer is supposed to be sent to me for testing so keep an eye on the channel. Yes, they had so many walk behind mowers. Toro is one I show and it’s autonomous and a walk behind.

One thing the Ego guy didn't mention is the 14 acre runtime is with an unannounced next generation 70 amp hour battery. The mowers seem to be built to roughly the equivalent of a SCAG Tiger Cat II or an Exmark E series Laser Z. It would be an entry level commercial mower. From what I can tell, Ego would need to have a different design of mower to be equivalent to the X Series Laser Z's and Turf Tiger II's. The Deck was only an 8 GA when many of the others are at least a 7 GA thickness

Thanks for sharing. The people they put at these shows 99% of the time have less knowledge than a high school student. They give them a few good lines and send them there.

Deere introduced 4 new EFI models, 3 with Briggs EFI, 1 with Kawasaki EFI. The new EFI models also have a slightly longer wheelbase than the carb models. The M series will all have the 12 MPH transmission like the R series. Basically same design, nothing really new there.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the ego commercial 60 inch is going to be as successful in the way they want it to be. It might be successful for property owners, but not for commercial landscaping unless you have commercial landscapers who are environmentally conscious which where I live in the state of New Jerseythe landscaping companies are all ran by Hispanic people. They don't care about the environment, and I'm not sure that environmental conscience is actually translates to Spanish. I don't know. I don't speak Spanish, but I do know that these Hispanic people that mow lawns where I live don't care about the environment. They just want to get the job done.
@americandream_892 ай бұрын
@@rapidcars1 it’s definitely a longshot at this point. For someone to use all electric equipment it’s a huge investment upfront compared to gas mowers. They also struggle to cut where you need high lift blades. If they put a high lift blade on the mower, the battery life is sacrificed tremendously. I am in talks with ego currently to have them out for testing. Also, if you think about wealthy personal property owners normally they don’t cut their own grass so the thought process that this fits a personal property owner is very slim also. As it would take someone wealthy to afford a $15-$30,000 mower, which is the range for most electric mowers that are even partially high-end. Some of them range up to 50 to 60,000.
