Nov15, 2024 I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage, I live alone and no one was here with me. I was working from home that day, i laid down for a small nap at lunch, went to get up to work again, and then something just snapped in my head. I had to call work to say I was going to the ER and drove myself to the ER. Finding a place to park was real fun when you’re going through the initial stages of this very extreme headache. Spent 11 days in the ICU. After 2 angiograms, the Doctors still never found the source of the bleed. Today is JAN18, 2025 and I still have slight to moderate headaches, and I also still have some slight dizzyness normally. Also had some vision changes. It feels like I will have these effects for the rest of my life. From what I now understand, I am one of the lucky ones. I’m 60.

I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage five months ago. The pain in my head was like nothing I have ever felt before. I started shaking and lost consciousness, though I was told later that I was speaking, albeit slurred. I was flown to an excellent hospital and had a craniotomy and clipping. I got off light since all I have left of symptoms is labial emotions, tiredness, and memory gaps. I have a bit of a problem with word finding too. The thing is no one addresses the PTSD. No one addresses the emotional aftermath. Once you start walking again people think you are back to normal when you are not. No emotional support is offered but we desperately need it.

I suffered a ruptured aneurysm and haemorrhage but didn’t suffer any headache whatsoever. My only symptom was a visual disturbance, a bit like looking through a kaleidoscope.
