Can't believe this was 10 years ago. I was 8 when I watched the show and I SOBBED when he was eliminated, he was my favourite. My dad took me to the American Idol tour that year and my dad managed to call him over to get me an autograph and it meant so much to my 8 year old self.

What I admire most abt Stefano is his attitude... He accepts things in a positive way... High Five on that! I love the way he sings.. I was wishin that he would be on top 4 (at least). I appreciate more his voice when I close my eyes... and considering how he improves every week-it means that he'll be a lot better in the future...

I was so pissed that Stefano was eliminated! :( and sad too. Seeing him everytime was my motivation to get through the week. Now there's nothing to look forward to on Wednesdays :( hope he gets a record deal soon! Stefano was amazing!

I remember seeing this kid introduced and telling my grandsons that I was in boot camp with a guy named Ernie Langone ( Langone's Music Store San Jose). Turns out that is his dad. Nice work, Ernie! Stefano's a chip off the ole block.

My musical taste is most in line with Steven Tyler, and similar to my feelings, I can see he was sad by Stefano's elimination. Stefano's hard work ethic makes him successful. James is my favorite, and after how he comforted Stefano, I admire him even more for his personal character. I hope these two will remain best of friends, and look out for one another in the tough music biz.

Not trying to hate on his performance... but the original song is an emotional song about his partner potentially cheating on him. This performance was like someone reading a sad story out loud, but laughing and being overjoyed over it. Completely takes the soul out of the song.... borderline disrespecting Stevie Wonder. It was awkward as hell too to watch. :/

I totally agree. Lately is famous song around the world, but to me no other version awakes such feelings as does the original. Shivers run down my spine only when I listen to the sound of Stevie's Lately(studio version)

I started crying when Ryan announced Stefano's name. He's so talented, he could've made it so much farther. But when they kept panning to James, showing him crying because he's losing his best friend...I started sobbing. Honestly, Casey and Haley should've just left James and Stefano alone.

Exactly! !! Stevie's is amazing. It's no techno song. At least he was getting some of the notes right. And that great crescendo. . But he kinda sings like there's a bubble or flem in his throat. Great voice, great energy and vocal ability. But wasn't crazy about his still that weird breathey reverberation at the end of some phrases. ... Please, no. Lol. No one can hold such a long powerful note like stevie either. Next time you listen to some of his ballads. Pay close attention how long he sings the finishing notes without a second breath, reticule l ridiculous. I've only matched the duration a couple time. Gonna have to work on breath support lol. Masterpiece of a song.
