Betsy Richards, I also fell in love with this breed when I saw Because of Winn Dixie. When you got choked up toward the end of this video, I also got choked up. My first love is my Newfies, but I will have a Berger Picard one day.

about eight years ago, my son and I rescued a momma dog w two pups..they were skinny and covered in fleas. I have always wondered what she is, and I think she may just be a berger picard. I was wondering if I could possibly send some pics for your opinion?

tammydoc2000 You could always try a dog DNA test, like Wisdom Panel. That’s what I did for my dogs. Just check the company’s website to see if Berger Picard is among the breeds they test for
