I was a seabee in MCB-5, Dong Ha. 81 mm mortar platoon.

He obviously was in Alpha Company, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven. I was assistant Headquarters Company commander, ordnance and communications officer. (Later HQ Co. commander.) Why is the battalion not identified? The ammo dump went up on Sept. 3, 1967. I don't remember Warnken and didn't know the story about his arm. Good people in that battalion.
