My daughter just turned 40, I found out she has been drinking large bottles of Vodka for 2 years now. She has been hospitalized in the beginning of this year. They got her liver levels back to simi normal . She was allowed to go home and take her meds. She was doing the right thing for about 4 months, then she relapsed back to drinking again. Vodka again, large bottles. She has not been taking her meds either. So we got her back into a hospital Raleigh Duke. Well after 1 week, she told them to take out the IVs and let her leave. She is no longer under any care and no meds. What can I do to get her some help, I know she is very depressed. And I feel the doctors should have picked up on that. She is so thin and yellow and never eats.
