So agree with you! Not wealthy yet, but plan to get there by starting a business, so I can get the hell out or at least have options. Americans are stupid as hell and it’s getting worse. I can’t deal with the stupidity and illiteracy. Almost everyone is entitled and wants you to adult for them. I work in the retail service industry and these people can’t listen, can’t follow directions expect things to be free, then want to yell at you and bully you when you don’t give them free supplies. People have phones in their hands but instead of looking things up they ask you questions instead when they could have googled it.

Slowly but surely, the US is becoming the old Latin America of Pinochet, Castro & Chávez. Neither politician is going to fix the structural socio-economic problems already in place. The US is already extremely unstable in both fronts: political and economic. Success and hard work are viewed as abnormal & corruption is rampant at all levels of government and society. If you stay in today's America, it is better to be "invisible" amongst the rest of the regular society. That's America for you today.

I don’t really know current law, but they can tax US assets if they want to, regardless of where you live. Like… the US has it within their power to extract a wealth tax on those assets or capital gains taxes on those assets, and doing so wouldn’t violate international law. @bmona7550
@bmona7550 Ай бұрын
@@kenhew4641Yeah but it’ll bring problems overseas. The locals would be gentrified and priced out of their communities. Even Mexicans in Mexico wants Americans out. The moving overseas thing truly works if you are already born overseas but naturalized as an American citizen, have ties there through marriage or actually went through their immigration process which takes years like in the US. Also not all countries even acknowledge dual citizenship. Without some real local connections you end up making the country more expensive. It’s only good if the US dollar is strong once it’s weakened you’re worse off than the locals if you have no local family there and not a true citizen because by then the money you earn won’t have enough value and you have to find work there in that country’s wages. It truly depends on what job/career you have. An average less than 30 an hour American working in a non professional job isn’t gonna cut it as some jobs aren’t even transferable to other countries.

It’s for ppl with $20+ million. For everyone else there are plenty of other cheaper options. I wouldn’t want to go and live in Malta. Sea view is nice but after one week of that it gets old real quick. There dozens of places in Asia with better sea, ocean, and beach views 1/4 of the price with much more better things to do and options to offer such as dining, entertainment, accommodations/housing, travel experiences domestically and internationally, culture, etc.

I genuinely ask you, such as? Most residency/visa options are only for old people who are retired, or, only for the very rich (investor visas). The most affordable options are the CBI programs which all come in at just under $400k USD. For anyone under 45, options are very limited unless they have a lot of money that they can spend on CBI or investor visas. Things get more complicated when you're regulated out of work by a govt who care more about "skilled migrant workers" than locals, even though you're a local who got qualified in the country to which you're local, because a lot of savings get used just existing whilst pivoting to another career. Even two of the residency programs I was looking at just closed without warning whilst I was gather documents to apply for one - one in the Caribbean (non-OECS) and one in Oceania. Even being born with 4 passports, my options are basically: * High-tax, high over-regulation 'name brand' countries that my passports give me full rights in * Somehow find a small fortune and do the cheapest CBI in OECS or CBI in Vanuatu (problem is the need to demonstrate having >$500k post-CBI) * Somehow have a friend who genuinely gifts me the money to do CBI * Magically have a good small country introduce a visa for those who don't have a lot of money (not millionaires) but are able to prove they can start a business that employs locals * Wait till in 55+ in order to get a retirement visa (assuming that's still an option, and assuming travel is still legal) * Hope that all the 'merit trap' and 'DEI' and 'diversity / multiculturism' BS magically vanishes and everything is solely based on merit * Give up The biggest problem is that most countries are abolishing 99% of their visa options and being very insular, even if that means hurting the opportunities for their citizens by stopping businesses expand into their countries. All of this BS has eventuated since the plandemic and is only getting worse.

In many cases they're not doing it out of choice, they're doing it out of it being their only option due to easier migration pathways or because they already have freedom of movement (CTA between UK & IRE, TT between AU & NZ, etc.). Those who can afford to do CBI and get out of CANZUK & CUNA are doing just that. The biggest issue is cost and the fact that for those who can't afford CBI, visa options are rapidly vanishing as the world becomes very insular.

I am pretty sure he has at least one video on the latest UK govt tax proposal that is likely to drive out more millionaires than in any other country (whatever that list of countries is, probably the usual list for comparison).

Lewrockwell has written about this issue a number of time since the 1990s. I don't have enough wealth by any means to leave, however, it is saddening that neither party care about keeping these kind of people as citizens of America. The number of Americans giving up their citizenship really ticked upward during Bush Jr.'s administration. I imagine it's not a hatred of America, but probably more an issue of practicality when the US has an IRS that wants to impose US law on other countries thus making it difficult for citizens to do business with foreigners.

There is ones children to think about when deciding where to live. This channel focuses on money and taxes. Consider how the next generation will grow and develop depending on country selection. Many will not move away from family and will suffer the taxes.

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My wife and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Stephanie Janis Stiefel my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

My situation is a little different. I'm from Holland. If I take a second passport by immigration, investment etc. I will automatically lose my dutch passport. My government only allows me to get a new nationality through marriage. In Holland we also have an elderly pension which will be a bit more than a thousand euros. Every year that u don't live in the country you will loose 2 percent of it. Or you need to take an insurance of 10 percent of your foreign income for it. And now there are ideas to tax people as well who want to leave the country. Things are getting more and more crazy every day. For me the best option is to get permanent residency in places rather than a new nationality unfortunately

I don't mind paying 40% taxes or more if there is a good to free health care, good roads and polices are funded properly so there is very low crime rate. However, it is the exact opposite in the United States.

Left for almost a decade and came back for business. The biggest issue the USA has right now is the lack of accountability across the board. The lack of correction for bad behavior results in more of it.
