I discovered youtubers living and visiting China quite some time now, and wondered how many people are aware of the wonderful changes in China.The country is and example because the ruling government made it a priority to invest in itself first, thus bringing their citizens out of extreme poverty, creating a safe, clean environment, great infrastructure, amazing transportation system. When politicians put the country and their citizens first, working together, not for their profit, regardless of how many parties there are, the country prospers.

America has much more fertile lands than China. Its fruits, vegetables and meat could be sold at cheap prices. But when foods are traded on the stock market and their prices are kept high by the destruction of surplus production, it isn't surprising many Americans can't afford decent and balanced meals.

In China, from primary school to high school education is completely free. As long as one pays for textbooks and other related expenses, there is no need to pay tuition fees. If one is admitted to a public university (public universities in China offer better teaching quality), the annual tuition fee ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 yuan. This is an opportunity that can enable a complete class transition. After working, Chinese people need to pay at least 300 yuan per month for medical insurance (for those who are still working, 80% of medical expenses can be reimbursed; for retirees, 90% can be reimbursed), social insurance (the government will transfer at least 2,500 yuan to your bank card every month after retirement), unemployment insurance (after unemployment, the government will provide unemployment benefits of 1,000 to 1,500 yuan for six months), work-related injury insurance, and maternity insurance. This 300 yuan includes these five insurances. This is the minimum amount that needs to be paid.

I don't see Americans or Europeans eating that kind of breakfast to begin with, also the median salary in China is around $1000 but it's well over $2500 in France or in the UK and around $5000 in the US. So, let's stop cherry picking our information to make a point. And BTW the point is "boo-hoo my life is so hard please somebody watch me".
@Guest-e1d
@Guest-e1d 4 күн бұрын
@everythingisfineee Due to those high salaries and prices the US and Europe can't compete. It's their own mistake that they fail. Don't complain about illegal competition. Even their investments in the Global South failed despite the low salaries and other costs up there. Because your supply line and logistics are weak.

China's price is super cheap if you're making American wage, so it is not all pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbow. For the average Chinese working class making Chinese wages, it seems like life is middle class. A house, 1.5 kids, a cat/dog, a car, weekend family outings, a vacation once every 2 years. You know, the American dream.

It's not. You have better understanding once you gone through the following: 1) China isn't fully open for some financial institutions, strict rules against mainly the credit card companies and wall-street investment firms. People are paying stuffs with their mobiles, which is directly linked to their bank account. Majority has No credit cards. 2) 93% home ownerships in China, only 20% took home loan, rest of them were purchased buy cash or government welfare program. 3) Also, China has 43% saving rate. 4) Every price tag you see, no additional taxes. 5) No inflation in the past of 4-5 years. Prices are super stable, some even went down called as "deflation". Concluded with above info and factor in, you realize they are a saving, then spending society. Most of their citizens are debt free. They are certainly making less, but in the end of the day, they end up more saving, and this is what counts. In the U.S., every price tag been jackup for corporate profitability and teriff..etc., plus too much taxes such as personal income (forbidden by constitution), Federal, State and sale taxes. Not to mentioned 20% tips pretty much everywhere we go. Then we got student loan, car loan and housing...just too much debts with interest. On top of that, enhanced with inflational system that flavor to the riches. For average joe, the purchasing power been deprived, dimishing day by day. 52% our citizens don't even have 1000USD cash in bank account with little as 4% saving rate. Remember, our average income is 59k and China is only 13k, and they end up more saving then us? We are in serious problem! 59k acerage income, 72k average spending per person, GDP per capital exceeding 80k, what's wrong with this picture? Don't focus on the face value, it's meaningless. In 1940, average income was 4600USD, but convert that to today's inflation rate, that money is valued more than 80k+. So does american making more or less? If we are still making 1940's 4600USD, we are debt free.

Not to mention, a lot of things in China are free, such as most national parks, museums, and zoos. Also, universal healthcare. Some companies provide free lunches. So even if they have low income, they can still live very comfortably. It's possible for them to save money if they decide to live very frugally.

The poor have more options in China than the poor in the US. There's no comparison. If they can't afford a car, they can get very affordable scooter, or take state of the art subway or high-speed rail. They can live in any neighbourhood that is affordable without the fear of safety, they can buy really cheap veggies and locally produce proteins in their local market that are much fresher than the American middle class is enjoying..
