As an American who has lived in London for many years, for any people wanting to see some things a bit different, I recommend taking South Wester Rail from Waterloo to Hampton Court Palace. There was a lot to see at the palace but cross the bridge onto the south side and there are some excellent restaurants and pubs. Then, walk along the Thames heading south. You'll pass Molesey Cricket Club and Molesey Boat Club and then the path opens onto fields. It's a beautiful, little slice of England.

Great entertaining video. Leadenhall Market in the late afternoon to evening is buzzing Monday to Friday with all the City workers drinking. Love it there! At Christmas it is beyond magical with all the decorations they put up. Slightly further down from The Sky Garden is... The Garden At 120! (120 Fenchurch Street) That is also free, and no need to book and is beyond amazing as it is a large roof terrace with exceptional views. Worth checking out and inches from Leadenhall Market. The Church All Hallows By The Tower is very old with a crypt (free!) worth visiting to see their Roman pavement and small museum and ancient chapels. The Tower of London's moat is being planted with flowers as a special one off in 2022 for Queen Elizabeth 2nd Platinum Jubliee, 70 years on the throne, celebration.

The best shops for gifts that I've found (I've lived in London since 1990) are the shop opposite the Royal Mews (forgotten its name), Buckingham Palace and the shop inside the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace. They are 30 yards apart and much of the merchandise is a least made here

There is a small beach at the Tower of London exposed at low tide. I don’t know if it is still used but when I was a child in the 1950s we could go down steps to the beach and play there and sunbathe. The beach is man-made. They brought in a lot of sand to create it. It was to give the London people and their children somewhere to enjoy the good weather in the summer.

You should take a trip to Greenwich using the Boats on the thames. Take the cheapest boat. It’s about £7 for memory (one way). But even the cheapest boat will give you a tour. They have bars onboard and stop at the sights. Get on at Westminster dock and get off at Greenwich Park, great cheap but really cool trip. Greenwich Market is worth a visit, plus the Kutty Sark and it’s where they invented time ;) Then take the Jubilee line back / to Central London

What a nice couple. Very open minded. They reminded of my visit to London years ago.

Always interesting seeing a foreigners view of my country. Used to work in London for 16 years, and up till last year sailed on the River Thames. When you grow up and live in a place you take it for granted. I have worked locally in Dartford for the past 8 years so not been London for a while even though it's only a 25 min train journey away from where I live in Kent. I sail on the river medway near Rochester and Chatham now. I recommend Rochester castle, Chatham dockyard. Great video, lots of energy. 👍 Welcome to the UK

Oh that's neat. We didn't make it to Kent, but hopefully next time. Thanks for the recommendations!

Viewing gallery at the top of the Tate Modern. It's the big converted power station (art deco architecture) with chimney, across the footbridge from St.Pauls Cathedral. Which is 5minutes walk from the Walkie Talkie. It's brilliant and you can take the whole gallery in at the same time. All free.

We wanted to go to the Tate, but we ran out of time. There's still so much we'd like to do there.

I don’t know if you have come across the famous quote from Dr Samuel Johnson - ‘ Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford. ‘ 😊😊 Very pleased you enjoyed this great city.

I like this vid. You pair are quite likeable. I’m a Londoner and I like seeing tourists actually getting the most out of my home city. If you’re back soon, (in May I think) there’s a new VR ‘Gunpowder Plot’ experience opening at the Tower. If it works it’s going to be fascinating!

That sounds interesting. Sadly, we won't be back in May.
