Since you guys already seen how Philippines was the only country who accepted the flight of Jewish Germans, it also help and kept the White Russians against Communist Russia. Yes Filipinos can be counted upon to help any nations to include keeping Vietnamese refugees after escaping North Vietnamese take over. Thanks for sharing with us about Filipino soldiers in it's contribution to the United Nation's endeavor to a Democratic South Korea. God bless

It's not a joke...Gen. MacArthur had, with such humor, coined this phrase because he perfectly knew how tough the 10th Battalion was. Bravo to these superbly brave soldiers fought and stopped these 40k Communist soldiers advancing and occupying Seoul, the last bastion standing. Very remarkable!!!👏🇵🇭

Philippines contributed a lot in the world which Filipinos are very proud of: 1. Open doors by accepted and helped the refugees from different countries such as Russians, Jews and Vietnamese 2. Helped a battle against communism in South Korea 3. Invented some machines that being used up to now such as incubator, microchip and video calling 4. Exporting Filipino nurses around the world to take care their old and sick people 5. Exporting Overseas Filipino Workers around the world to help their countries gow Still the Philippines is underrated and underestimated by western countries because of economic status but they don't realize that the Philippines is more blessed geographically it was a God's masterpiece that's why God's purpose that a poor and small county helped a lot of things in this world rather than those boastful and prideful western people.

Not whole of Southeast Asia but only Filipinos. In Asia, the PH is the only country that has been more open to others. Even before Magellan made the mistake of thinking the people's hospitality as subservience. In pre colonial days, PH has hosted Chinese, Japanese settlements (esp in old Manila). During colonial days, Japanese Chiristians, native Mexicans (conscripts of the Spanish army) , (there's a town called Mexico outside Manila), Indian mutineers (British Sepoy conscripts), of course in the last century, hosted refugee centers, participated in UN missions during the Congo crisis (airforce), a few other peacekeeping missions including Golan Heights, Timor etc. Japan, India, China etc came late in the game.
