BTS doesn't use "backup dancers" like most other music acts. They use "dancers". Backup dancers are props, used to fill up a space. Remove them and the show goes on. On the other hand Dancers are an integral part of the choreo. Remove them and it won't work. No disrespect meant for backup dancers, im just trying to explain that BTS doesn't add elements into their performances superficially. Any additions, adds to the performance. BTS also refer to the dancers as "dancers", never "backup dancers". BTS acknowledged their value, we should do too

It showcases the talented people (mostly POC!) who recorded on the LA-side for BTS' new album--UCLA's marching band, the gospel choir, jazz musicians---they all speak so well about the joy and power of BTS' music.

This is their grown mature versions of themselves *They teamed up with UCLA Brass The Blue Devils MARCHING BAND along with dancers known as THE LAB and a GOSPEL CHOIR. They filmed at the most famous Los Angeles Dam. The kinetic manifesto film is a preview video of their full “ON” choreography since they only do the dance break part in their official MV* when this came out I was like this the whole time 🙀👀 then toward the end, I couldn’t explain it at all I had no words it literally gives me N.O with Not Today and We are Bulletproof vibes that I found later through interviews that this title track is reverse of their 2013 title track “N.O” from their second album ‘O!RUL8,2?’, our guys definitely didn’t come to play, once I heard it I knew it was the title track.* Like OMG the others are playing the drums behind Suga and our man Jin front & center. I did notice Jin wasn’t part of the dance break b/c he said it was very difficult for him which is perfectly fine & understandable, he has been doing so great along with RM and Suga with their dancing & vocalizing. I’m so proud of their improvement 😵😻 The more I listen and many fans have their theories but I think what theyre basically saying is no matter what negativity or challenges comes their way they’ll overcome it together when they say “Bring it, Bring the pain”, I wish every kpop artist had that mindset because there would’ve been less disbandment or members leaving their groups. Also, I believe the backup dancers representing the ARMY 💪🏽 which is saying that the fans and BTS have each other’s back, theyre willing to go out of their way to help each other and others to get through hardship. Theyve mixed in allot of their old dance movements with this new choreography, there’s so much symbolism going on within their dancing including the fake tattoos on Taehyung’s face & neck which he wanted to use for this concept. *Their outfits symbolize the Light & Dark, which they’re embracing both sides to balance themselves* #ON #BTS

So I've been watching all your back reactions since I saw your J Hope/J Cole one the other day, because I love watching people get shocked by who/what they thought BTS was and who they really are...but now you've got the Iowa drip? And I heard Rock Island...the QC in QC ARMY is Quad Cities? It all makes sense now 🤯🤯 (I'm in Iowa City, hey neighbors) But keep it up, I love your videos bc they're hilarious and real, you can tell when a reactor is giving fan service for the ARMY views and likes, and when their reaction is legit. You already know by now how many genres BTS can hit, but I love how they can step outside even their own cultural "box" to pay homage to other cultures--a lot of the inspiration for this song and choreo (I'm sure you can see) wasn't simply incorporating a marching band, but specifically pulling from HBCUs and drill teams and even stepping in the dance break. There's nothing they can't do.
