fun fact: the ah- sound that you noticed is part of honorifics in korea. it is only seen as acceptable to be used by older people when addressing younger people, unless there is a special relationship. just like -hyung means older brother, as in close friend, so it is used when addressing an older male friend. so, jin uses -ah when addressing all the members, while you will hear jungkook addressing all of the members most of the time by -hyung at the end of their names (unless he’s messing with them, and he sometimes uses -ssi, which just means sir, when addressing jimin to make him laugh because it's WAY too formal). with the other members, it varies depending on if the member they are addressing are older or younger than them, so even if they are the same age (like jimin and v) jimin is still older than v by a few months so that applies to honorifics. however, since the members have such a special relationship, they often drop the honorifics with each other and don't make it a big deal, so a lot of people don't even notice until a lot of content in lol.

actually, the honorifics do not apply for people born in the same year, if you're the same age, you can speak and address each other informally. in Korea, you only use the word "friend" to talk about ppl born the same year as you, that's why only jimin and V (95s) and Hobi and namjoon (94s) are friends. if they're older you use words like "hyung", if they are younger, you call them by their name, informally, as you said. but if it's same age, you can drop the honorifcs, you'll often see people who have just met, but if they are the same age they call themselves friends and can speak informally :)

No Steph you were right 😂😂 RM didn’t want to come in last place so when the staff said they’ll only deduct points if they CANT successfully find the spy, RM decided to advocate that he was the spy to get ppl to vote for him. He knew he wasn’t the spy but wanted the guys to vote him as the spy bc then (1) they’d be wrong, (2) the staff would deduct points from all the photos with the actual spy, and (3) then RM probably wouldn’t come in last place. It was a big brain moment for him 😂😂 you almost explained it correctly but then got confused in the end

just for context, whenever the captions says "brother" or "bro" they are actually using the honorific "hyung". "hyung" is used when you will speak towards a male person older than you. so, jungkook since he's the youngest he calls everyone "hyung" jimin&v are born in the same year so they just call each other w their first names. same goes with jhope and rm. jin is suga's only "hyung" "brother"

Jungkook's three level of anger in this episode was funny and sad at the same time. You guys should start reacting to their FESTA's that they do every year its so fun and you could learn alot from it. usually when u call someone's name in korean they addeed suffix -ya / -a / -ie at the end (for when theyre ur same age friends or younger) V-ya / Jimin-a and i think the adding of -ie usually to add more affection/cute tone Jungkookie / namjoonie but they added "hyung" for when male calls older male friend jin hyung/ suga hyung/ jhope hyung and add "oppa" for when female calls older male friend jungkook oppa / V oppa/ jimin oppa/ jin oppa/ namjoon oppa/ suga oppa/ jhope oppa or add -ssi for "Mr" or "Ms" Jiminssi (Mr Jimin) *Jungkook often calls jimin by jiminssi to tease him

Festa is something they do on their birthday (debut anniversary) every year and for this one they went to a restaurant and basically talked about everything. You mentioned wanting to see what they’re like drinking alcohol and during this festa they were drinking and some of the members got quite drunk 🤣 I know my description doesn’t sound very entertaining but i think it was great to watch! In korean the “nicknames” are made by adding a vowel sound at the end of the name: “jungkook-ah, Jimin-ah, Jin-ie, Jimin-ie, hobi-ah/hobah” that’s why it sounds like they say “veeah”. Actually, there isn’t a V sound in korean. Taehyung’s stage name V is written “뷔” = “bwi”. When Jin calls Tae “bee-ah” he’s calling his younger brother in a cute way.

I think Rm's strategy is just basically him playing safe. He voted for himself to minimize the chances of the spy getting a lot of votes since they don't know who the spy is. If he voted Jimin or Jin, he might've made the spy won so he decided to just vote no one but himself.

If you like Run BTS debates, I would recommend episodes 63-65: BTS school. Chaotic energy is a given and the debate topics are so funny! The rules are similar to their water debate you guys watched, where they have a trigger word or phrase and if they say it, they get sprayed with water. Just on a smaller scale. There are other things they do throughout the other episodes, and they're just as chaotic.

Your reaction was the best, I think I reacted the same way when I watched this run for the first time so it was kinda funny seeing you feel bad for Jin and mentioning members purposefully ruining other members photos when I knew what was coming. Also there's no video of the punishment, there were a lot of punishment that weren't carried out by the members due to the pandemic so in one of the most recent runs they decided that they would do just one penalty out of all the penalties that they have and just the member that ranked last during that episode and one random member that the loser choose would carry out the penalty.

Saw another comment explain this but simply put: V is actually pronounced as “bui” in Korean. It’s only 1 syllable. What you heard was “V-ah” which is a part of Korean honorifics where they’ll add “-ah” to the end of the name of someone who’s either younger and/or close to them (relationship-wise). So if it’s a friend or a younger sibling you have a good relationship with you add “-ah” to the end of their name

i love your run bts reactions, i always look forward to them, and i’m glad to see you guys enjoying them!! here’s some other episodes i highly recommend, they’re hilarious!!! 97-98: pj party 100-101: 100th episode special; badminton, foot volleyball, and old games they’ve played before 140-141: collab they did with this famous korean program; half of the episodes are on BTS’s platforms (ep. 140-141) and the other half are on channel full moon on youtube (but i don’t think you can upload their vids so you can just watch those on your own time if you’d like!) 136-137: it may be hard to understand as foreign fans bc the games they played are based on the korean language and culture but nonetheless they are hilarious 89-90: basically different games that have to do with guessing BTS songs
