Sri Lankan people may look similar to people from India, but the country is different with the country's culture and it's people and should not be compared or say it's like India. It's like comparing Italians with the Germans and saying Italy is like Germany, or comparing Chinese with the Japanese and telling that China is like Japan. Sri Lanka is definitely not like India.

Sri Lanka is one of the cleanest in south Asia. I don't know much about other countries but I've been to India and as a Sri Lankan I was so thankful that I got to live in a clean country and a country with nice kind people, despite the current economic issues.

For example in a country like USA with the State of New York, the largest Airports, Buildings, and all commercial activity takes place in New York City (NYC) and the majority of people who have visited the State of New York will most likely visit to see NYC, however although NYC is a commercial area it's not the legislative capital of the State of New York, while the Legislative Capital of New York is the city of Albany, NY which is much further away from NYC (the boroughs are the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.). Likewise similar to NYC and Albany, NY in the State of New York USA, Sri Lanka has Colombo as it's commercial capital and "Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte" as the the legislative capital.
